Never EVER a dull moment here! Believe it or not Ive been watching your channel since senior year in Highschool. I am now 25 & I still really enjoy watching your videos. Im always excited for the next video & wow how far y'all have come in the years... I miss when you guys used to open the fan mail with your cat & dog in the garage. One day your watching a jeep wrangler build, & then to the mopars, to the foreigns, to the garage built in the parents backyard, to all the auction builds, the 1st house build, the warehouse build. Wow life moves fast & I am really happy for you guys! You both most definitely worked very hard to get where you are today & definitely deserve it. Also BIGGG shoutout to your parents & the fam I know they've worked very hard as well. Keep making videos, I know if I enjoy your videos, others do as well! Wishing y'all the best, stay blessed! - Sim
Been watching when I was in high school as well and I’m also 25 hahaha
I think one of the best things about automotive youtube channels is that they are saving and rebuilding cars that really would not get rebuilt any other way.
V-Tuned is a boss with the frame machine and restoration, you're lucky to have him around to assist your builds.
if it wasn't for him they'd get nowhere with this rebuild
So many haters bro. You should say something like it's really good to have good friends but y'all turn it nasty
@@goti36v tuned is higherd help that means he is paid for his services their is thousands of body shops threw texas who would happily take on PAID WORK don’t forget V TUNE FAN BOY , you stick to flipping burgers BOY !!!!

I would love to see you guys do another build for Pops or even your wives. I think that would be awesome
I agree definitely need to see a lot more of Simons wife...

Simon the word your looking for is hydro locking. Great job as usual! You guys have taken perseverance, improvise adapt, and overcome to the max! Great job, press on. Looking forward to the next project.
I have had a rare opportunity to meet Simon a few days ago at the local Starbucks, and both Simon and his wife were super amazing, humble, and welcoming to us unknown people just saying Hi. While Aventador was nicely parked in reverse chilling in the sun, I could not imagine anyone more deserving of all of the success in this world then Simon and Billy! I have been watching the channel for the last 5 years since they worked on Hellcat and z06 and zl1, and that is how passion turns into success!!!
Keep up the amazing work fellas, and many thanks for all the content you create for all of us.
Alex
You did what the majority of G Wagon owners won't ever do: taking it off road lol.
normal men not newer need go to out off road drive. ewerywere can drive car on the road, and were not can not sure need go whit car, only totally idiot go drive out off road. peoples have build road can drive good not need go to drive forest.
And it's something quite funny because they are VERY capable off road.
Only for the video. They'll never do that again
WD did lol
@@mattivirtaWHAT??
Guys the yellow dot or circle on the tire is supposed to be lined up with the valve stem do that and they will balance out beautifully. Trust me been a mechanic a long time and doing tires it pays in the long run to do it right
I agreed with yellow dot for balancing out.
Fact
True that!
you'd expect these guys to know that...but...
This car is amazing. You did a great job repairing it. You deserve applause for this achievement. Greetings to you, brother

You two, with the help from your dad, V-tune did an amazing job with this build!
Man, that old warehouse was such a cool place to shoot a video
Love how the G stands up when you get on it. G must stand for growl !
The G-Wagon rebuild makes economical sense for content reasons. Because without that, would be way more cost effective to buy one in mint condition. Especially taking into account the work hours with vTuned.
Yes only for content. The repaired value isnt close to what they have in to with a salvage title
exactly
They don't pay Ben for his work. They just use him because he is a friend and that is the only time they talk to him is when they need him to work on things for them. 100% FACTS, not my opinion
@@JustAGuy781
I'm sure your right....that's why he's been helping them out for years now... showing him no respect consideration nor compensation weather in trade or monitory recompense....🥴
We all know Ben to be a SKILLED craftsman & a good man. So what ever the dynamic don't you think it's between three grown ???
@maleficentcop2752 he is not mean enough to tell his friends NO. If I were there I'd speak up for him, but I'm not. He has to stop letting these two boys use him as a "friend".
pops driving this it is what we wanna see next !!!!!!!! 👍
That was an epic rebuild and loved the price reveal and finale. Great rolling shots and locations. This one was one heck of a wreck but as you have proven many times over, you willing and able to tackle just about anything. Love the partnership with vTuned and that you got to put your new paint booth to use. The G-Wagon is one amazing machine that can really do it all. It's crazy how when Billy stomps on it the front end just raises up as it takes off. Big congrats! I'm now looking forward to seeing a Tremor!!!
I'm always amazed at how terrible the armytrix exhausts sound. Nice job on the build guys!
right lol i think i could make a better sounding exhaust from with metal and duct tape from home depot
They are just awful
Guys an outstanding video and cool footage of the G Wagon in action. I don't know about the other subscribers but I would really like to see you Guys finish off the Porsche and do a ripping around town or highway video on the Porsche! Sadly I can see your town has the same urban/industrial decay that is so prevalent across the country. Our Alcoa aluminum smelter where I live has been shut down for some years now and it's a sad deal because back in 1990 I was one of over a thousand or so employees who had a middle class job there. Those jobs are all now in China! Anyhow I am looking forward to the next video!
Pops doesn’t want a G Wagon. He is a truck man through and through.

I have driven a couple of these that my friends own and then test drove a brand new one. I absolutely fell in love with them. I have a GL 450 and it is great but the G wagon is its own beast. I am working on hopefully getting a brand new one this coming year 2024!
Really great video production Simon.. you boys are killing it.
And you’ve finally sorted and updated your music . 🎉
I would recommend the Micky Thompson Baja boss A/T, they are amazing tires!
You guys are making amazing content as always. You got so far with this journey, with the chanell and everthing. Congratulations! I am following the channel about 5-6 yrs now and it is just amazing!

The issue with this G is the branded title and no warranty. No one, spending over 170K on a car wants one with the history this one has. Nice work on the restore but I think you would be lucky to break even if you had to sell it. I would just enjoy it. Values on these are going down as the hype around them is starting to dwindle because of gas prices and the cost to own an AMG car.
Yep they will never recover costs on this one and the boyz know it. Paid way too much for the wreck.
I expect business tax write-offs factor in to the decisions to build these. The wrecked vehicle and parts are all business costs for content creation even if they don't sell the finished vehicle.
Where that Silly Doberman hiding, I just lost my he was 7 years old, I miss him so much ,
Really great rolling shots. Loved the scenic backdrops, old factory, lake, etc..
I don’t know about anyone else but, for me it’s actually a pleasure to see someone using the car for what it’s meant for and built to do, not just a luxury riding on egg shells kinda car…use it, use the 4x4 it’s there for a reason
Oh yeah, for sure. These things are monsters off-road.
This is true, but theres no way i could buy a 250k G-wagon and take it offroading haha
They are super capable off road, but people don't take them off roading because they are very expensive 😂
Unless you are a farmer why would you take it off road?
Don’t get me wrong, Im not saying to beat the crap out of it, im just saying you know ot has the capability so why not you know take a trail once ina while
I got a 1985, 240 GD, it's an old military G class. MB kept a lot of the old trim even on these new cars, the handle on passenger side, the door handles etc, pretty cool.
Hi Simon .... I Think 🤔 you both should give the MERCEDES to POP'S cause I think he deserves it for all his help and being there for you !!!! That's my opinion Simon .... Have your POP'S AND YOUR MOM enjoy this build !!! Thanks for the great videos guys . From your friend THE BANDIT.......
Engine sounds like a true rebuild
I’d like to see the builds in person. I think you should buy/rent a building in Chattanooga where people can stop by and see the builds. You can sell your merch there too. Set the hours how you want. The builds will be out of your shop and in a climate controlled environment and people can swing by and check them out. Maybe rotate the inventory every once in a while. Have fun with it!
Kinda like a car museum for there collection honestly sounds good but insurance would probably go thru the roof having to insure all the cars then having workers there to make sure everything goes smooth might lose more than they would profit
Yes I second this, I would also enjoy doing this.
That’s good only for people who live in Tennessee and surrounding states which is not many
Then you could see all the unfinished projects like the camaro
Yup like Orange County Choppers did!
You're going to have to do a Chattanooga rain dance it looks like. One tip which I guess is still good is a short cut to Raccoon Mtn. Pumped Storge is up Elder Mtn. Road almost to the top, and then left through the short shute. . .
It doesn't look like you mounted the tires with the yellow or red dot lined up with the valve stem. Those dots are put there by the tire manufacture and need to be lined up with the valve stem to balance out correctly. But on another note, yes, those tires could be crap and not be able to balance out no matter what you do. I love the channel and the builds. Y'all are awesome!
You need to give that 67 Camaro a new family.
I would love to have that new 67 tomorrow.
I own the 68 and it was awesome.
Awesome G-Wagon I'm from Rossville GA I watch you guys all the time. That big building is where Tim McGraws "Truck Yeah" video was filmed at... Probably heard some homeless people in there 😂
Love how the front end rise up when you floor it. Great.
It does not matter what this build cost, it is the entertainment factor that counts. Without having Ben in the background would this build have turned out as good as it did? Possibly. The boys would have found some else to assist. Then there is the cost of all the equipment to make a build like this possible. The frame machine, spray booth, warehouse, equipment etc. Everyone’s time also comes at a cost. Bidding on these cars without a physical too is a risk. Those are some of the pitfalls. Nice built Goonsquad. Great content. Great entertainment.
Pop’s going to love his new G Wagon 😊
Seriously, give it to him already. Poor guy.
They better give it to pops, or we riot lol
This was the best breakdown video you should do them all similar to this!
You guys need a tyre sponsor, I've seen channels with 300k subs with tyre sponsorship.
Make it happen, Pirelli !!
During the price breakdown videos, I would love to see some B roll of what condition it was when you guys started as well as what a fantastic job you guys do in repairing it. Keep up the great work! Next car Mustang GT500?!
they already have the procharged gt so i don’t think they will do one unless they get it for a steal
Yep, you almost forget how totally clapped out it was when you see it now.
Been here about 6 years ago and you both are still kill'n it.
I think yall should do a merch sale that enters people to send their personal vehicle to you and have it fixed/customized to their specs within reason of price. (Signing documents if its a liability) My tacoma for example, great truck but needs some tlc, but with the economy i cant afford to have what i want done. Just a thought
Give it to pops,he works hard and deserves it 👍
Parabéns pessoal, o trabalho de vocês ficou muito bom, eu sinceramente ficaria com esse carro pelo resto da vida!
the word you where looking for when the oil all in top of motor and rolled back over was hydro locked cant wait to see your next build !
Still no before and after shots? would really make the final video pop if you could add some of the original shots
but this was a really cool build, enjoyed it a lot, and really nice to see it finished to completion! I never really thought these were cool rides, and mostly for Hollywood wannabes, but now, I can see why they are popular. Seems pretty badass
Agreed, editor needs to add before and after clips side by side or something, would look really awesome.
Other then that the build was really cool to follow but goddamn this wasnt cheap considering a clean title 2022 goes for like 180k-200k?
Im always wondering on stuff like how good were those welds and pulling the frame.. Im not so sure I would let this pass for safety reasons, a bent frame that is restraightened cannot be as strong as before.. so whover has an accident next time may have a much worse time. Soo.. if its not a clean title the car has to be atleast like 80% discount repaired, if repair was done by your local neighbour and not the official manufacturer.
that yellow circle on the tire its self is the best balance spot!
Wow these comments have really gone down hill... Glad everyone is enjoying the content so much.. it shows!
I personally love these guys and they do things that most people never have done or ever will do.
But the haters are REAL out here
Thanks for mentioning Vtuned - he is the BEST ever.
I'd hate to see what labor hours would have been lol
They get paid to take as long as they’d like
@carmenhanson9809 sure I get that. That's the point of my comment. 140k is a lot better than 200k lol
After watching you guys rebuilding the g63, I gotta say, its my new dream car, when I got the money i'll get one for me and my family to enjoy! Keet it up guys! Peace.
I will say, it would be cool to see you guys do a Ford GT40, there was one on scrap life garages channel at a copart auction not sure if it's still there or what the deal is but just saying that would be a nice build
Those tires will balance out better if you put the yellow circle on the tire in line with the valve stem. Food for thought
after watching whistlindiesel jump like 90 feet in his, it's kind of funny watching you guys baby this thing.
would you jump your gwagon if you just rebuild it? 😉
its smart, because they respect what they have. Whistlindiesel is just a maniac
They should start selling their rebuilds to him for top dollar. They make money, he saves a little.
Holy crap! That thing pulls hard!
Is that gonna be Pop's vehicle? A while back he was asked what kind of build you should do next and he said a square Mercedes. Well, this is that square Mercedes.
What more can I say amazing car amazing people amazing garage. You people are so amazing from your dad. Everyone of you all the team involved man. I am so speechless. This car is a beast. Wow.

This project is ending as it should, to own not resell. There's too little profit if you include all the work you made deals or sponsorships to cover, let alone so much labor you guys put into it. Glad you're going to enjoy it!
the labor cost for this one is huge. so definitely need to savor it some more hehe
The labor cost is payed by Merch and RUclips?

Yeah VTune always does an excellent job and I imagine it's not free lol but I'm not sure about the price of that g wagon. I mean they always say if it's got a total title it's worth 50% of what it original cost. So I think the boys are better off actually to keep it for a while. Give it some use without the mileage. Going haywire and be able to pull out some kind of money but in no way they're never going to get back what they got into it
Simone is going to give it to his teenage wife

You guys are true Americans. Thanks to your dad and mom.
Who on earth would pay that much for a rollover - salvage title vehicle, especially a G-wagon when they do not hold their value at all. You can find older one's going for 20-50k depending on trim package.
I would bet my next paycheck it was a car request from his new wife
they don’t hold their value? are you dumb

A Great day might be pushing it !!
These guys know Nothing about Drag Racing. Don't encourage them or they'll end up killing themselves.
Man it is sick I can hear the turbo I just like the way it roll in highway
I like the thumb nail where you say never buy one , i am sure the dealership who supplied all the parts and drove hours for delivery likes the fact you are telling your viewers not to buy the product they sell although considering what you paid for parts they probably dont care and yes the cost is the biggest issue but Mercedes attract a cliental that can afford it . Great job on the rebuild , you guys including Vtune are masters of their craft . Plus your test track looks like a movie set or should be ..
watching u guys since 2017😢😢 im now 26... time flies so fast
Anytime you buy a vehicle that has been rolled over you always pull the spark plugs before you ever try to crank the engine. That way when you pull the spark plugs and you crank the engine you pump all the fluid out of the cylinders so you don’t get Hydro locked.
The first thing these 2 do on all there wrecks is try to start them ,I dont understand it !! Then the next thing is doing a burn out if it starts !
I can't wait to see Mom driving this bad boy! Lunch delivery in style!
Suggestion- I'd love to see you boys give the new builds and old builds a full service like oil changes, air filter and fuel filter changes. I guess if this comment gets a few likes other people feel the same.
Even with this g wagon, I just saw them adding some random oil without knowing what it had earlier. They did not change the filter either. They don't show routine maintenance or they never do for years 😅.
I hope you give that G Wagon to POPS. I remeber him saying that was his favorite vehicle. Nice job!
100k is an insane amount of cash for that from the auction in the condition it was in .
They keep there price as rappers like to over pay for them.
Copart hasn't had good deals at all since the youtube rebuild channels all took off.
All so you know one with out all the add ons is $160k brand new and if you get all the add on stuff there $200k+ easy so half the price is not bad.
@@Muddy.Teabagger but how much value is lost being this is a rebuilt title?
Too much paid. If they had someone do all the work they did to it, the final, all in cost would prob be $180k. The type buyers for G wagons that saw the original condition and all the frame work, new roof, etc would not even want it. That leaves the type buyers that can’t afford one so those types would be in at much lower offer prices. All guesses, but maybe $125k if the buyer was aware of how trashed it was after the wreck.
Regardless, great content and we all enjoyed watching the rebuild.
That truck is awesome! You guys need to find a Rivian. That would be cool.
Now convert it into a 4x4² and then you would have the ultimate G Wagon. You would have more than enough clearance for your urban adventures. 😂
8 inch lift kit those ugly mall crawler tires on those ugly ass wheels ,,,,maybe SQUAT IT !!!!! That would be the icing on the cake !
Stage 1 reaches 1000nm in some occasions and drives REALLY good, highly recommend!
Lol 175,000 for a totaled wagon?
Is not totaled anymore, just has a salvage tittle and was fixed properly, still worth some good money but yeah, not 175k 😂😂

You and me both brother, you and me both.
You guys should definitely let Pops have this one, he looked so good behind the wheel and he was so proud of the ram and needs a replacement...
Hey goonzquad could you guys give us an update on the R8 and finish the Porsche and the Tesla before you get something new. Also the next build should be a Muricelago, Gallardo, or maybe another hurican. Also could you guys test the trackhawk vs the Uras and G wagon like you said you would
how old are you ?? A TEENAGER !!!! SMH
Damn you must be their boss
The solenoid you replaced has an actuator that advances the cam shaft to a lobes with more lift and duration. It's variable valve timing. For example Hondas Vtech or Toyota's VVTi. Engines area large air pumps and it helps have a more efficient powerband while maintaining fuel economy at a lower RPM. When it's advanced the valves lift higher for a split second longer. Therefore taking in more air to be compressed for more power. If this duration and lift was constant you'd use more fuel. So by having the ability to change to valve timing you have full control of when to demand this higher lift and duration. For example at a particular RPM. In newer vehicles with different drice modes this is a useful tool. Each drive mode might utilize different lift and duration at different times. For example track mode might have the most aggressive loft and duration over 2000 RPM, then normal might use just a slight increase in lift and duration under heavy acceleration or high RPM. Then Eco mode might not use any lift or could act retard the valve timing to use less.
Your alls actuator was stuck causing the vehicles vehicles ECU ti cut fuel and timing at 4000 RPM. Had it not done this you could have had some nasty backfires feeding back into the turbos. If thosr take valves are still slight open as it sties to ignite compressed air and fuel your likely to get a nice fireball coming up through the compressor housing of the turbos.
So therefore the the intake and or exhaust valve was still slightly open during the compression and/or power stoke due to the higher lift. So it was bleeding off compression through the intake and/or exhaust.
Вы ребята просто молодцы,уважаю работа просто на 100
Awesome Build. Thank God No Silly lifts and stickers on this one. Its Perfect.
Costed?
I just love when the front end raises up 🤤
I can see it being worth it if you're going to enjoy and keep it for awhile, but with that said if you had to factor in Vtuned's labor hours, plus any body shop for paint, labor, etc. it is definitely more cost effective to find a used one with a clean title. I myself wouldn't want to have that much money into one with a salvage title, but when you have the kind of money these guys have at their disposal it probably changes perspective.
Great result Guy's , you need to get a Range rover SVR to rebuild . If you like the G wagon you will love the SVR
