- In this video i'm going over the brand new Hughes & Kettner Nano Amp, The Spirit of Vintage.

The Hughes & Kettner Spirit of Vintage is hands down one of the best amps i have ever played.

Thank you for splitting up the videos and focusing on each of their characters. Happily subscribed to the channel. This was an excellent overview and review. Really enjoyed the playing. I’ll be getting the vintage through preorder in the states and will definitely be trying it with some pedals for a rich sound.

No effects loop for this amp is alright, but the spirit of metal sounds so nice but without the effects loop it's so limited!
I know! The spirit of metal is a beast! Being a studio musician, not having and fx loop is not the worst. But as a gigging guitarist who wants shred solos with delay...
That first song you played was beautiful. Is that one of your own?
Usually is! I try to play something that is not written by others. It happens from time to time because of muscle memory though haha. But I do my best to jam my own stuff 😄
I don’t know.. no real clean tones per se and it hisses when you crank the master (which is expected from a cheap class D) but for the price I think it’s not worth it. I would either buy a very cheap motone 1W for half the price or save my money for a decent amp. Just my opinion, I am sure lots will be happy with it. Great reviews btw!

Well you can get clean tones out of it at home. If you wanna mic it at a venue, its still usable. If you wanna compete with a drummer without a PA system you will not be able to have a clean sound anymore. However i would pick the H&K over the motone anyday though! But thats just personale opinion 😄

I was thinking Spirit of the Radio would be more fitting, but that riff is insanely difficult to play
My only concern is the tone control only, for EQ. Is there a good amount of bass on tap?
I found there’s was plenty of low end. However it all depends on your cab. But for a studio environment or live the sounds engineer will cut out the bass anyway. So if you are looking at it for your bedroom I would personally go for the Hughes & Kettner amp man. It’s a little more expensive but more versatile!
I don't like the over driven sound with your pedal - sounds like am amp modeller - I am sure that its possible to dial in a better sound.
This vs the spirit of rock, which do you think takes fuzz and distortion pedals better?

CRAP.. they should just make a damn pedal for that.. They're milking it at this point.. I'm sure they'll be busting out pedals soon.. just add an FX loop instead of the that "sagging" knob
I get what you are saying. But I wouldnt trade the sagging knob with an fx loop, its just that good! 😄 But you should totally go and write them about the pedal idea! 😄
@@resqgear1918 yeah I'm a no body..... so it wouldn't really matter.. But if I can save one person from pulling the plug on this because someone said " get this its great" Ive done my job.. or looks at EytschPi42 unbiased review..
Everyone matter! You are not a nobody! I did watch Hennings review. He was the one who told me about the amps when i was at his place for Gearstreet. To me, the spirit of Vintage acts like the amp i want to. The two others are very VERY focused on certain stuff. The Spirit of Vintage is versatile as heck though!
@@resqgear1918 I'll respect that & thanks for the replies.. so needless to say, I'm odds & ends. I'm stumbling away , slowly learning that life is "ok".....I'll look more into these.. i'm 15/85 lol
