Cold Chisel in the 80's huge in Aust then. Was a great era for pub rock. AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, The Angels, Icehouse, The Divinyls, Mondo Rock, Australian Crawl, INXS, Rose Tattoo, Hunters & Collectors, The Models, Choir Boys, can't think of them all, top of my head. In the 80's (before the internet & smart phones). Every Thu a free gig guide would come out at every city train station outside record stores etc. you would find these bands at a pub somewhere in the city and suburbs with these bands playing every weekend somewhere in the country. Those days are long gone but there music today is still popular in Aust culture.
This record got me hooked on jimmy. From here, I found cold chisel. Life was complete. Only wish I was of age, greater than 8, to appreciate chisel in their prime. Made up for it in 1998, yellow hair and all. Two Fires is a wonderful record . I always wished there was a live record and DVD of the time . Pieced together a live movie show at the time where jimmy put his hand threw a mirror kick boxing. Finished the show before going to hospital, commitment 🙂
