From Australia , love your reaction to a true Aussie legend , Peace from down under.
Love it! Must be the Scots accent mixed with some Aussie grit! Shout out to Diesel on guitar.
My hubby was a Scot but came here when he was 2, and we called him a Scozzie!!
So grateful that I grew up listening to these legends ❤
Now you know this song fairly well you absolutely must react to comedian Adam Hills singing our national anthem “Advance Australia Fair” to the tune of Working Class Man!! You’ll love it! Also Jimmy still has a bit of his Scottish accent but for sure there’s plenty of Aussie in there as well!
Totally agree Doc! Here is the link Tex. ruclips.net/video/eobSMcB-nMA/видео.html
Haha yes it actually works so well!
I love how Jimmy makes you smile. Jimmy reminds me of Bruce Springsteen, that powerhouse voice, and that concern and care for the little person, the working class and the strugglers, people overlooked and uncared for, like his song Born In The USA.
One of the best things about Jimmy is exactly that! He knows the struggle and is a voice and a source of drive and motivation for the working class man! Long live Jimmy Barnes!
Diesel on guitar and backup vocals. Diesel is Jimmy's brother-in-law and also a charting Australian artist.
Classic, doesn't matter if it's live or not, it's just a classic Aussie anthem, love it, and love that you are making us Aussies really appreciate it all over again, thanks Texas👍
Imagine being Diesel on the guitar singing working class softly while Barnseys behind ya screaming! Love Jimmy, been lucky to have seen perform quite a lot as well as Cold Chisel about 20yrs ago on their reunion tour in Sydney with a bunch of old school mates. How'd we learn to love Chisel & Jimmy.....our parents!
So great to see Jimmy is recovering very well from his surgery and looks really fit. Love this song.
I’m grinning watching you grinning & because, well…it’s Jimmyyy!!!😂💪🏼
Jimmy is the best!
You Get it..
By ya research, knowledge and Heart n Ears!
Onya Mate.
Keep delving.
🍻
My first ever concert was cold chisel and I also went to the last concert ( the last stand tour ) they did. They did a reunion tour a few years back and yep I was there too. Cold chisel and jimmy Barnes is my favourite performer ever, I even named my first son after him. He is an Australian rock god
Hey Texas Love. another great reaction of Jimmy - you obviously cannot get enough of him. I have sent a tweet to Jimmy to ask him to give you a shout out on your channel. Maybe the other people who comment here could do the same on Twitter and tell Jimmy to give this Texas boy a good Aussie welcome
Thank you! It would be absolutely unreal if Jimmy saw one of my videos reacting to him! I think my cheeks would explode from happiness overload🤣🤣🤣 Thank you again! Be blessed, my friend!!!
@@Texas_Love Hope so mate! Doing a great job!
Khe Shan, and Flame Trees... mate, there is so much more down this rabbit hole. Music that shaped the Aussie zeitgeist and the nation. There is a Chisel song called "Janelle", that is just a small, simple song, but oh boy, what a song. Listen to it twice, and it won't leave your head for weeks, lol.
We definitely need to see Janelle then! Thank you!
Another great reaction, Tex!
I appreciate the work that you put into understanding and discussing the lyrics. Have listened to this since it was released but have not really noticed the 'God and Elvis' line before.
Jimmy sure was a wild man back then. I'm amazed he still has a voice. He actually sounds better than ever now. Best wishes on his recovery from recent surgery🤩
I saw Jimmy for the first time here in NZ in 1986 when the Working Class Man album had just been released. He was on fire and the concert was sensational! I saw him last year on his Soul Deep tour, and he was still unbelievable. How he can still scream like he does after all these years is a modern day musical phenomenon! Loving your Jimmy journey
Love your channel Tex. Great insight. Agree, the best artists are always the ones that leave it all on the floor. Barnsey, Farnsey, Elvis, Bee Gees (never a foot or note wrong), the Teskey Brothers (got my tickets for Glasgow) HomeFree. Tom Jones is another all-in performer. Have you managed to get to him yet? I'm never gonna fall in love again is a must. Love them all. Keep up tge great work.
Always love a live performance so much more especially when it comes to jimmy Barnes or John Farnham. Please react to Jimmy Barnes “driving wheels” an incredible song and performance
Coming soon!
@@Texas_Love 🙏 thanks heaps
@@Texas_Love live version with 38k views is a good one
@@georgeibrahim7945 You got it, buddy!
Through all his fame and fortune (or misfortune) Jimmy has always been relateable to the working class man. Part of the reason he is so well loved. He is still just a regular guy who we all can relate to. He does so much to please his fans ....
It's good to see he is recovering so well after his surgery
Amazing voice Jimmy. I dont know how the vocal chords held out. Hope Jimmy is as he had to put a stop to his tour.
Having seen Jimmy/Cold Chisel live you can not walk out of the show without smiling ,they are so good and they give their all to every performance, we are so lucky here in Australia
Love from Australia Texan ❤️🔥
Check out "Driving Wheels" Jimmy with Diesel on guitar
Hey Texas - You Know Jimmy Was Born In Scotland, He And His Family Came To Australia When He Was A Little Kid.🙂

Keep doing what your doing all the best to the channel and the family
Regards Troy
Why does every one forget diesel another great Aussie music icon
When Jimmy talks he still has a heavy Scottish accent, even though he came to Australia as a child. The family were fairly poor and lived in a rough neighbourhood in Elizabeth, South Australia.
Oh, do you know when you might react to, You've got nothing I want by Cold Chisel?
I remember I requested it ages ago. It's my favourite Chisel song. A very young Jimmy in the official video. Thx
I was looking my son with his hear.He looks like Jimmy 🎉🎉😂😂
Khe Sanh !!
Diesel on the Guitar There 🎸 👌
It must be something to do with his Scottish Heritage the Same as Jon Stevens
Very Powerful Singers in their own Rights !
Good man, my fav Texan love your work lad...
Thank you!😄
If you ever come to Australia love to throw away a few stubbies with ya🍻🍻🍻
You should check out Cold Chisel - When the war is over and Cold Chisel - Khe Sanh. The lather song is for all veterans out there
One of three people on the planet that can loose their voice and still perform an evening on stage. Research it, you''l be amazed.
Funny to say you pick up an Aussie accent. Even though Jimmy been Australian and come here as a boy he still has the Scottish accent so I do not know if as an Aussie it harder to pick up he probably has a mixture of both. Similar if you hear the AC/DC boys you can tell a few were born in Scotland too.
This concert footage looks like it might be a concert I went to.
I went to a concert at Melbourne Showgrounds around those years so probably the same one. I also did not realise Diesel was in his band until about that night playinv as a guitarist. I'm fairly sure I knew of Johnny Diesel and the Injectors around this period so it interesting he teamed up with Jimmy for this tour.
I must admit I still pinned to see Cold Chisel a lot more than solo Jimmy and his bands around this time but it was better than nothing. Maybe this was same night Noiseworks played at the Showgrounds?
Should listen to "Last Frontier" the same concert. Great song
Try Jimmy singing "Lay Down Your Guns" next, please.
Not sure - but have you seen Jimmy's 'Driving Wheels' yet ?
Coming soon!
The true Australian anthem
Jimmy Barnes has a brother who was front man for Australian band the Choirboys. They do a song called Run to Paradise. Do yourself a favour and check it out.
Try Jimmy's 'Drivin' Wheels' ♥️
Jimmy single handedly has the most powerful voice in the last 50 years at least, prove me wrong
Lay down your guns, is a good one too by Jimmy solo
THis is song is written by American Jonathan Cain.

Cheap Wine by Cold Chisel is great, but for a twist try this from Tina Arena.
With Khe Sahn (pronounced Kay Sarn) I would definitely recommend you read the lyrics first to better appreciate the power of the song. As for Flame Trees, unlike most of our Aussie recommendations to watch these guys live, this song is best watching the Official video as it adds to the storytelling of the song. Enjoy and Love your reactions 😀🇦🇺
Do you like Journey? Take a good look at the guitarist (aside from Diesel) and they Keyboard player.
The other guitarist is Dave Amato from REO Speedwagon and the guy on the keys is Peter Kekel neither have anything to do with Journey
🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
when the war is over live at hornden pavilion
stop talking and just react!
I would and have paid to see Cold Chisel and Jimmy Barnes solo numerous times in my life...... and I would pay a 1000 times to see them over most 'overseas artists'...... my exceptions were Dire Straits and David Bowie...... Australians LOOOOOOVE our music and we don't put up with Divas..... put up or shut up..... that's the Aussie motto......
