- Why does motherhood matter? Motherhood is good for you, and I’m going to tell you my top 20 reasons why.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day I wanted to share a mother themed art journal page - I was inspired by some art projects I made as a teenager, a mother and child symbolising the sacrifice of a mother who is absorbed into the landscape, as her features are part of the nature scene itself.
Motherhood is difficult but good for you in so many ways - I want to encourage those who are struggling or have doubts about the value of Motherhood, even though it often may feel like a thankless and invisible life.
God’s word reveals that motherhood is a blessing, as he “grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children” (Psalm 113:9) and “her children rise up and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:28).

There is nothing more life giving, precious and fulfilling than a brand new baby in your arms! It also teaches you to lose selfishness and embrace the devotion and joy of taking care of this miraculous creation and see this child provided for! I praise God for the wonder of child bearing and being a stream of life to children! The privilege far outweighs the challenges!

Amen sister!! When you become a mother, you are in God’s ‘mommy boot camp’. My kids have seen me at my “best” and at my “worst”, they have seen me as a nurturing teacher and sometimes a drill sergeant. The love that they have shown me has been the best reward on this side of eternity! Being a mom is no joke and very rewarding! God has been very merciful to me in allowing me to have my beautiful children and now grandchildren 🥹💜 Thank you sister!! God bless…
So true, our kids see the best and worst - how much more must God see everything and still he loves us so much…
