I was a big fan of Space Angel when I was a boy. I must have drawn the Starduster a thousand times. What’s remarkable is the attention to detail in the art and in many cases, the script. The attempt at realism is commendable. There are a lot of references that showed up a few years later in Star Trek: everything from Earth command, to a league of planets, the Athenians (whose culture resembles the Romulans), and even minutia like briefing rooms. Spock’s scanner looks like Taurus’ scope! Wondering if Roddenberry caught a few of these episodes…
