I use a 5000mah 3s. works good and battery life is great. While jumping and surges of full throttle I can get about 40 min. If I use more full throttle more like 30 min. My battery actually went bad during this video. I now run a Smart 3s 5000mah. Same batteries I use in my outcast, but 4s 5000mah
@@alwaysforfun126 It’s wild how much it costs to fully convert this to 3s. I was actually pretty mad at how much they downgrade on the mega version, and how much they charge for the parts. It’s no doubt intentional, it’s a marketing trick to get people to buy the upgraded one because it seems like such a better deal when you factor in the cost to convert a mega. Off the top of my head you have motor and esc, slipper assembly, spur and pinion, motor mount, motor fan and heatsink, battery, adjustable turnbuckles and center driveshaft brace. That’s just the stuff I know about-remember, I’m sure there’s other things.
Avid makes good bearings =)
Thermal cutting all of them do that no matter what pinion you use
NIIIICE 👌
Thanks
what size battery do you use and how long they last on a typical session on a dry day ?

Is it a brushless conversion?
Yea it is, started with mega and went brushless. Cost me more that way than just buying the 3s lol Alwaysforfun!

Not to mention you basically need the $100 metal differentials and input gears for 3s cause the composite ones just burn up.
@@travispratt6327 it cost me more that the 3s itself. Not worth it in my book.
@@travispratt6327 I didn't change the diffs until I went 4s and the composite ones were still good I pulled out
