I think CJ should make his channel like a behind the scenes reality tv type of channel with Jimmy. Original, but still relates directly to Mr.Beast

    • @OverRule1
      @OverRule1 Год назад +18

Jimmy should of just told his brother to make his own videos from scratch with no help or anyone knowing he is his brother for about two years and then when CJ he gets basic understanding of what unique style he wants to create and an appreciation for content creating he could then say he is his brother. He shouldn't just open his channel as MrBeasts brother, that is doomed to fail because you are setting high expectations as a newbie.

Back in highschool my older brother was extremely popular with girls. The boys also respected him for his reputation. So I always get noticed by so many people and they know me as "his brother"
I've always hated that, I can't believe someone would actually want that "reputation" and call/describe themselves only as "I am this guy's brother".

I can relate. My older sister was known to be the troublemaker, the bad sheep of high school. When I started high school, she already graduated. However, all the teachers initially said, "Oh, your X's little brother. I hope you won't be a troublemaker like X."
In the end, by sophomore year I wasn't referred as X's little brother (passed school with honors and almost 4.0 GPA).

Saaaameee. My sister was a year older, trouble, lazy, liked to party and get around. I was known as her sister till i proved that i wasn’t like her. Shitty to be known for someone else’s reputation whether its good or bad, especially when you did nothing to earn it.

Same. In the church we attend, my brother is very popular. So whenever I get introduced to someone I never met, the people who are with me would always be like, "she's ____ brother!". Same thing with work. My brother formerly worked as a piano teacher at a tutorial center, and then years later I would voluntary teach kids to read at the same center. Everyone there was like, "Your brother is this, your brother is that". Its annoying and it just makes me jealous tbh that I cant be identified as my own person

  • @cornycob

100% understand what CJ probably went through as being the youngest sibling and being the worst academically it is very mentally taxing to be someone your just simply not. Doing RUclips professionally to that level just from the start with no prior experience on the platform besides the fact that your brother is a RUclipsr is in my opinion harder when it comes to building your online presence. He probably had the best of intentions with being like his brother but his heart was probably just not in it. But even with the 'failure' he had still gotta give props to the guy for actually sticking it out for almost 2 years.

I think the problem was that Jimmys brother also used basically all of Jimmys production team.
So all his videos felt the same, had same thumbnails, and titles, and even had the same vibes.
Its important to not be a basic carbon copy of other successful channels, He seemed like a great guy and could have been very successful if he was just himself.
He let the hate get to him, which i dont blame him cause the internet can be a brutal place.

Of course there are those with natural talent in their personalities but if you put in enough effort, say upwards of 10 years like MrBeast did, it's almost impossible not to make it. With varying degrees of success of course with MrBeast being near if not the pinnacle.

Karl is a great example of success through MrBeast. He was already working hard on his streaming career via Twitch, once he got himself into more and more MrBeast videos, larger audiences clung to Karl, and joining the Dream SMP made that an even larger audience. The key difference here is that Karl actually came up with his own Storyline for the Dream SMP. He always did his own things and stayed true to himself. Where as "MrBro" was just sort of thrown at the audience and was expected to be enjoyed. I feel like they should've slowly introduced him into MrBeast videos and allow us the time to get to know him. Than he could've done his own thing from that point.

I think CJ's main problem is he was focused on the success his brother made, and not the process that made him achieved the success. From what I understand, Jimmy provided help to his brother in terms of funding and manpower for production and marketing and advertising, but Jimmy probably never intended for his brother to literally copy him. CJ's focus went into achieving success that his brother had, instead of just making content for the sake of making content and sharing his passion. He was too focused on being MrBeast's brother, and not CJ, maybe because he was not interested on content creation, but the success that he thought that would come along with it.
I believe if CJ was passionate about content creation in the first place and not just gunning for the same success his brother had, he would have not needed to be associated to his brother's content and would not need for his brother to finance and promote his content for him.

Mr beast learned how to talk, how to come up with hilarious gags, how to engage with chandler and chris among others in a natural and entertaining way, and he also learned the perfect rhythm of how to make the beginning, middle, and end of his videos extremely enjoyable.

(Counting to 100k, cutting a table in half with plastic knives). Not only that. He'd consistently upload. Even today he is investing all his time into his channel. The effort put in by this man is insane and he deserves where he is today 100%.
MrBro is not like that. He has only 30 uploads from the start of his channel. He got everything handed to him and was able to get a jumpstart from his brother's succes. He was lacking the passion and the drive though and just didn't do anything with it. At the end of the day i don't think MrBro really wants to be a full time youtuber. I have the same drive within me, when he explains his mental and emotional state with RUclips I can relate similarly with that feeling with my own sewing and seamstress adventures. Even CJ himself said he remembers Jimmy staying up super late to create videos that would only get like 100 views. Been there done that with my passion. Wow... As a Greenville native, this is my first time hearing of his brother...somehow. Never met Jimmy but have friends who've crossed paths with him & ended up either in videos and/or getting crazy tips. I was overly critical about the launch of his Burgers, but seeing the impact he's had trying to tackle starvation on a local & broader scale...made me appreciate him & the content even more. I think if CJ had that in mind from the start, maybe it wouldn't have gathered more clicks...idk. I wish CJ a second wind! It's hard being thrown into this rapidly evolving platform. I would love to have a fraction of Mr Bro's views, most local youtubers like us don't get far as CJ did.

What made mr.beast so successful is his dedication and unique style, his brother branding himself as “mr.beast’s bro” is not a bad move, although having the foundation that all youtuber’s dreaming of having, he seemed to lack determination and dedication.

The fact that he is addressed as Mr. Beast's bro is a double edged sword. It's both a great incentive for people to watch his content and follow him while also setting him up as a clone.

Shoutout to Shad and Jazza as 2 successful brother RUclipsrs with their own style. I wouldn't even have known they were related if they didn't do a few videos together. Just because they are brothers doesn't mean they must do the same thing.

CJ never really seemed as natural on camera as his brother, if I’m being honest, i totally believe CJ could be great in many others things besides youtube, he’s a smart guy under loads of pressure trying to be similar to his brother. It’s like a shoutout, you get initial popularity and subscribers, but because you haven’t built up an audience, you don’t know how to maintain the fame, and you end up with a bunch of subscribers that couldn’t care less about your videos. CJ’s content feels just way too alike to Jimmy’s content, you never think, “Hey! I think watching MrBro would be entertaining!”. Why go to a copied channel when the original channel is way better. There are way too many factors to address in one comment, but keep in mind this is just MY opinion, if you agree, cool, if you don’t, cool.

For the taking inspo then doing your own thing, is very true. One thing I’ve learned (even tho I’m a tiny creator) is that you cannot force creativity, if you’re not doing something you enjoy, the videos don’t feel the same. Doing something you like to do makes the videos better, as you put more passion into it.

When RUclips isn't as successful as people would like it it tends to demotivate them or when their videos aren't allowed to get monetized or they're constantly getting messed with and makes people give up on their channels even if they already have a big following
I had Gone through something similar like that and end up taking a break but now I'm about to make a return now that I done studied up on the guidelines policies monitization rights etc

Part of “trusting the process” is also loving the craft and exploring new concepts and ideas by yourself. When you start with 0 subscribers and 7-10 views and you constantly grow you get in love with the process. And thats what separate successful people with unsuccessful people not only in youtube but in life.
