I classed her into dancer simply for the sword avoid and she became such an amazing dodge tank with alert stance that she soloed the final map of verdant wind with a levin sword. People need to give her a sword!
@@shazhanaieril9881 I wouldn't really agree with White Tomefair and canto being the best possible class abilities available to her, but nosferatu is decent I guess, soo
@@Coo1gamer Personally I would change Whitetome faire for White Magic x2 since well they are like 4 offensive white Magic spells and most of the cast only learns Nosferatu and the only one that get 3 of the 4 is Lysithea
Every skill works in the arena, it's a matter of actually activating them. IIRC, in between rounds of combat is when you can get them to activate. For example, Marianne attacks, enemy retaliates, Marianne follows-up. Since the enemy put her below 25%, she activates Defiant Avo for the next round of combat, even though the fight isn't actually over. Skills like Death Blow or Darting Blow I believe are always active so long as you attack first (have higher Speed). I'm not sure if they still activate if you lose that speed check. Skills like Vantage, Quick Riposte, and Wrath are afaik useless unless they can activate when you don't meet the speed check, which again I'm not sure of.
@@zer0vision891 The contest battles all act as if it's player phase, so enemy phase abilities like Vantage and Wrath will do nothing, and Death/Fiendish Blow are always active. Who goes first isn't at all affected by speed - your character will always attack first (because it's player phase). This makes gauntlet contests extremely easy because they're brave weapons so you always start the battle with doubling which will very frequently result in the opponent being defeated before getting to counterattack.
@@stavrosavouris2701 You can double stack the Faires, the Crit+10,and the Magic ranges +1, i'm not so sure of You can stack Fiendish Blow with the Dark Mage/Bishop innate Fiendish Blow

I have used Sword Marianne now in 2 playthroughs. At first she is awful, she misses everything and even if she hits it does like 2 dmg. However once you gain Hexblade and start using Levin Swords she becomes really powerful. Also if you make her into a Mortal Savant or Trickster she can also use Magic which makes her even stronger.
@@_ANDRE. Getting her in Dancer is also good, since she gets her spell list back, can stack Sword Avo +20 with Sword Prowess, and of course gets Dancer utility. Combined with her Riding boon, she can easily get Mov+1, and her crest allows her to equip the Fetters of Dromi unpunished, and can utilize the Mov+1 and Canto from that.
I know I made a possibly major mistake in the end, but here's my reasoning...
*_+ Skill Ratio_*
Fianlly, another Swordmaster Marianne enthusiast
I just happened to mainly train her in swords, lances, magic, and animals cause I didn't know what I wanted her to be.
@@Coo1gamer if u mainly train her those than i think holy knight is good

So this is Marianne's revenge against Catherine
Would've been great to go against her in the end, but oh well
....wut? XD

the RNG goddess has answered Marriane's prayers to win the tournament as a swormaster with a non magic sword, great job on this video 👍
Took me like... 17 tries and dumb ability rearranging to get said rng
My Edelgard won this with E+ sword just because she had like, 82 HP.
This highlights how amazing the job/class customization is in this game and the variety of ways to play the game.
Some people wouldnt appreciate it saying it doesnt have unique/variety taste while running a full squad of Wyvern Lords
I didn't know you could heal in the tournaments. This explains why I had such a hard time winning them xD
I've been there buddy
Oh no
Did you just... not read the bottom?
@@matthewpletsch7523 i guess so

Man listening to the sound effects in 3H after playing Engage is dealing psychic damage to me.
Someone set this clip to the MGR Revengeance soundtrack.
If you had it, you may have been able use Swordfaire over Str+2
True, but I didn't... And neither Death Blow
Swordmaster already has swordfaire. I don't think they stack
I'll look it up someday later

Tempest of Seasons, Fire Emblem Three Houses. It's a mix of Rain and Thunder since the game uses Rain outside of Combat and Thunder during combat
