The two plastic shallow diving lures are both a Norman Little N not Bagley's. I don't know the clear lipped deeper wooden lure. A couple different companies made that exact shape lure and bill combo unmarked. The prop lure you called a Smithwick is a Rodgers Hawk Stick. I collect boxes and lures, they were asking good money for that fishing stuff. At those prices I would have grabbed the Rogers prop lure, a Storm Thinfin in one of the boxes, and the fly rod.
I thought about the Thinfin too… Good to know those are Norman. I was comparing to Bagley, Bandit, Bomber, Norman, etc… to me it looked like Bagley eyes, glad I now know. A Rodgers Hawk Stick?? I’ll have research that more. Appreciate the info! Thanks for watching.
The Smithwick is actually a Smithwick Carrot Top. Also one of those scouts is a Clark Water Scout. Clark was the original maker of the water scout and later got bought out by strike king.
Really? Thank you for clarifying the Smithwick! I knew there was multiple Scout options. That would make a great vid to run through the history. Thanks for watching
You picked up some nice stuff. You absolutely scored on the bass mount and fly rod in the case. They seemed overpriced on some stuff yet didn’t seem to know what they had on others, LOL. That brightly colored clear billed wood lure appears to be a Lee Sisson lure, possibly a Renegade branded version, likely made after he left Bagley’s. The other two plastic lures at the end appear to be Norman Little N’s or copies.
Thanks Chip! I totally agree the Bass mount and fly rod were definitely my favorites from the sale. Thanks for letting me know on the lures, and I appreciate you watching!
I was at that estate sale! I had that fly rod in my hands at one point but couldn’t pull the trigger on it lol. I grabbed a lot of smithwicks at that sale!
@@anglingarchaeology Bass Pro Shop catalogs from the late80’s have an add in them for doing skin mounts with prices listed.I believe yours was done by them.
I believe that unidentified wooden lure with the metal lip is a Wood's Deep-R-Doodle. I could be wrong but I think that's what it is. LOVE that bass mount. Great finds...but man, that guy was asking way too much for his stuff.
Hey thanks man! Great to know on the Deep-R-Doodle. Agreed the Bass mount was my favorite pick up, and yes they were shooting for the stars on the prices… still fun to find that stuff in the wild.
SCORE!!! Awesome finds bro! I really enjoy the yard sale/garage sale/ thrift finds bro! It is all part of the finding of the "Angling Archaeology" in todays world. Please keep up the Great finding/buying vids along with the others! Side note: your eBay link in description does not work.
It’s all about finding that vintage gold in the wild! Thanks for letting me know about the link. I’ll get that fixed. I know the linktree works. Thanks for watching!
Pretty sure I ordered from that sportsman's liquidators catalog! A knock off hula popper that melted from worm burn , and some poppers with frog legs that caught a ton of bass and sunnies !! Nice walk down memory lane 🤠
The red/yellow Bait is a Woods Deaper Doodle
Great finds! Love those Clark Water Scouts and that Carrot Top!
Thanks man! I goofed up on the vid… I didn’t realize it was a Carrot Top. I’m excited to fish the Scouts. Might cast those this weekend.

Your fly rod in the wood box I think was made in Japan after the war. I have a few of them. You have a good show, thank you

A lot of great stuff at that sale… but pretty pricey.
That big green Umco tackle box with the possom belly ice chest big bucks. The Japanese love em
I really wanted that tackle box, but that would have been expensive even on 50% off day. Keeps me going back to find more! Thanks for watching
Wish they would bring back the mudbugs
Cool fly rod set up. Get that line wet
That Berkley is getting fished this week!
Wow
Knowing the history of that fish mount is really cool.A mount like that is worth a lot more than $25.Great show as always.
Agreed! I can’t imagine what that would have cost to mount. I was glad to save it and give it a new life.

Dude! I love your vibe, the channel, and your finds, but please don't turn your channel into a frickin yard sale. Seriously. 😐
