A tip in case anyone didn't know, thermites will stick to fabricators and destroy them from any angle. Really useful for taking out the last few in a large base without wasting a 500 kilo or something
Not only that, if you can get close thermite to the face and cheeks of the factory strider will damage the fuck out of It. You need a few to take It down but It does the job
important is that laser cannon is supposed to have faster heat reduction, but its a known bug that the cool down is currently same as before buffdiver patch
imo shield backpack is essential with lasers because the flinch is so hard to deal with otherwise, being able to soak a few shots is really important. Railgun to a lesser degree is the same but at least you can kinda peek with it if you’re good at quickly aiming. Laser cannon needs that sustained fire. I love the loading message that bots have “reactive protocols” making them susceptible to suppressing fire. Never really seen that happen with laser weapons myself.
@@Itskalanio Scout armor and cover is a good alternative, hit them fast and hard then move back out of detection and repeat. There is a medium 100 armor with the Scout perk on page 8 of the free warbond, Combat Technician if you want a little more protection while still rocking Scout perk, with Vitality booster its usually good enough to take a few hits.
Nope. Shield is a waste of a slot. run medics armour, and as soon as you take damage, stim. With bots stim immunity and evasion is more important than absorbing shots. I run light medics on level 10 and generally do fine. Have come out of many dives with 0 deaths.

Bc of the limb changes they made hulks can one shot with body shot now and sometimes even shoot through ur stim, limb change in general buffed bots so much, imo a very silly thing to do

The pistol laser is actually very fun to use now. Obviously it has the potentially unlimited use, but also, it’s great if you have no weapon that can harm armoured enemies. Aim for spots without armour and shoot. Whether you kill it with brute force or the fire eventually gets them
Yeah they spawn out of nowhere now and wont drop aggro EVER. Thats why i dont run heavy armor. If i ever need to disengage on a pinch, id rather be able to run than having a smidge more armor that in the end wont Matter because youll ragdoll into death no matter what
U should give the recoilless rifle a try. I use Precision orbital strike, walking barrage, autocannon sentry, and recoilless rifle with the counter diligence dmr, magnum (the light pen pistol with high dmg), and gas grenades. Servo assisted armor (max throw range is around 100 meters, you can snipe bases with the walking barrage and recoilless rifle) Being able to throw the autocannon sentry really far allows u to start a fight on 1 side of the base, pulling the bots together, and the walking barrage comes in from the other side going towards the sentry. I use the precision strike to ambush patrols and take out detect towers/ jammer faster.
It's because arrowheads idea of difficulty is just throwing more heavy armor targets, whereas 7-8 has WAY more devastators. I also find 8 to be more difficult solo than 9-10
@@roo837 Probably because you or your teammates are fighting too much and it ends in drop ships dropping bots who call drop ships and so forth. Fighting bots is a lot about knowing when to pick fights and when to get the hell out of the general area.
Arc thrower is back for bots and broken good. Load out is arc thrower, jar-5, grenade pistol, thermite, shield gen pack, eagle of choice, rocket sentry, and armor of choice (i go either extra grenades or explosive resistance)
Hi @Mullymaster, how do you deal with Gunships and Dropships with that loadout? Do you just pocket a teammate or can the Rocket Sentry take care of them mostly enough if you're trying to solo part of the map while your teammates go the other way? I haven't played bots in at least a month, but the Arc Thrower has been my primary support for bugs for a while now.
@@POWER_WAFFLE If you’re in a pinch, rocket sentry takes care of them very well and if that fails your dominator can do it, albeit not very effectively. You’ll mostly want to avoid missions with gunship patrols if you’re planning on going solo, or just swap the dominator for the scorcher and you won’t have any issues at all. As for dropships I just let them drop their troops and let rocket sentry and arc thrower breeze through whatever drops
Bro im honestly too bad for bots on 8 and above. I just get killed instantly and have no idea how to adapt. I have a personal vendetta against the now rockets and the rocket tank
Rocket striders are pretty much the most dangerous enemy. If your loadout can't handle them quickly, you're going to die. Especially when every patrol and dropship seems to have 4 of them. Railgun is the best at handling them, then AMR, then autocannon. Crossbow is also good against them if you hit them in the pelvic girdle twice. Jar-5 is adequate as well
Same here, try using the Comando for the Missile Tanks, and any primary that can penetrate medium armor, or at least the senator or a granade pistol. The impact granades work too. Use any armor and backpack you want and at lest a stratagem that can clean a horde of enemies. And remember, the Missile Tanks are bug, so if you dont destroy the head, ir will still shoot.
6:40 the recoilless beats the spear and commando by quite a bit now as it has more ammo than the spear, can also shoot at close range and can one shot fabs *from any angle unlike the commando
@@samuraitadpole5459 It's honestly kind of op right now imo. You can one shot Titans, one shot hulks anywhere on their body, and I mean ANYWHERE. You can hit their toe and they'll die. It can one shot both behemoth and regular chargers with a shot to the head or butt, it can even one shot the bloody factory striders with a direct hit to the red eye on the face... Add to all that the utility of destroying fabricators from any angle and it's hard to justify bringing anything else tbh. It's not amazing at dealing with gunships as the reload makes it a little rough, but that's the only somewhat weakspot I can think of for the recoilless. I guess only getting one round per ammo pickup (the ones lying around the map) isn't great, but so long as you have the ship upgrade for full support ammo on resupply you should be fine. I think it should take 2 to take down Titans and factory striders. They could leave everything else the same but I miss having those "oh s#@%" type enemies that actually take some effort to take down.

Unless your aim is atrocious you'll always get more value from the recoilless compared to spear which again, has to be used from a medium distance which isn't always possible. spear needs some love rn
Love the LC, the problem with it is exactly what happened here, no way to fight armor like strider and tanks. Maybe giving us a strong heavy armor pen single shot 20mm pistol or something would help make all weapon classes useful to deal with the map

I've been back and forth between the laser cannon and the quasar, and after watching this playthrough, I think the quasar wins out, simply bc it can take out fabricators from any distance and angle, as well as drop ships. Which sort of sucks, bc I really enjoy the laser cannon, especially when combined with the sickle and the laser pistol. If managed properly, you can continuously shoot by swapping out each weapon once they begin to overheat
is the strat of take-out-all-the-fabricators-in-an-area-before-starting-the-objective something you do on all mission types or is it a more adaptable scenario where you might do sub-objectives if they're on the way? curious because i usually do main objective stuff if it's on the way, but if this strat treats you better I'd love to try it out myself. not having to deal with outposts while doing the main objective does sound pretty neat.

It feels like the lazer cannon is weaker than it used to be because alot of its ttk on larger target's heatvents is considerably longer than it was during the summer.
After the buff, there is literally no sense in using anything other than a recoilless rifle as a secondary. One shot for everything except the striders.
I tried the laser cannon and omg, the gunships didn't even have a fighting chance They "saw" me, 2 seconds later, burning rubble Also poking at the Factory Strider's "eye" greatly improve your staring ability
Spear is great but the laser cannon has infinite ammo and can take out multiple gun ships in quick succession. I prefer the spear for long range heavy target removal and the laser cannon for sustained combat with anything hulk and below.
I prefer the spear for gunships as I'm on PS5 and it's really hard to track something that's flying and constantly moving with a controller. basically, my aim sucks.
So, call this layout a "laser" build is a bit of a push for me... you're only using the laser suport weapon, to be a laser build, at least the primary should have been a laser weapon too. And you should have brought the Lazer orbital strike as well... So sorry to say, but I can't really see the "challenge" part of this mission, when you water it down by choosing only the "less bad" part of it.

And if you use the armour set with extra grenades and run a supply pack and you can destroy all the fabs without the need for any strats

The factory strider turrets started shooting twice after Escalation of Freedom
The patrols are relentless on ALL levels now. They seemed to have reverted the patrol spawn bug so we're back in April.

Been running laser cannon for a month or two, on bugs if you pair it with laser gaurd dog rover and medics armour, youre chilling.
17:25 The Railgun is second best after the laser. It can one-shot gunships with a high enough charge.

It's an in-game setting. Go to the tab in settings called "accessibility," and one of the options is changing the crosshair color

Nothing is more infuriating when you launch multiple grenades or crossbow bolts into the fabricators and they either miss or don't do anything.
You have to expose yourself a bit using the rail gun too charging it up
You can charge it up behind cover and move out when you're ready to shoot.

@@chikirin9349 aiming is not the problem, it has the same damage as the scythe, just take it and a good anti-armor weapon. Even a regular machine gun has way faster reload too
