Great content. Very informative. Just getting back into riding after 25 yrs.... have a 2012 Kink Gap. Having trouble getting the front end up. I'm 5ft 7in 145lbs so 20.5 sounds right. Do I need taller bars? Higher rise stem? Shorter reach stem? Have tried bars forward, straight with forks, and back slightly. Same result. HELP!!!! LOL
I had a 21 kink gap I think for 1st actual nice bike it was that dark kinda greenish color beautiful bike. Let friends borrow it and left it to get impounded. 400 down the drain maybe I could get a new one soon I am not usually a red minda guy but I like that red tbh.
I wouldn’t say so, I would go for the whip if I were you because I would say 180 is the max weight for the gap if your going to be doing jumps and drops and any intense tricks, but if your not I would say go for it, just riding around with the occasional trick and bunny hop will not hurt the bike, but over time it might start to.
Sure, I feel similar but how about kids who are 13-15 and can't afford a "high end frame full cromo" bike. If I got this for Xmas when I was 13, I'd have been over the moon!
I 100% don't see a point in buying low end new bikes. I would rather buy a used high end than ride ANY low end! 100% full cromo frame or I'll pass! Any used FULL cromo frame is better than ANY new high ten frame! There is NO logical reason to pay $500 for such a low end shit bike when your local facebook has 20 used high end BMX for the same money or LOWER!
Agree for the most part but if you're new to BMX, finding a quality second-hand bike for a good price is easier said than done; you have to know what you're looking for and at when viewing it for damage, etc.

Your graphs and other graphics really improve your videos, Doug. Great presentation!
Really keen to see your review on whip xl.. wondering if it’s still worth getting in 2023
Quality content as always I always got this word it's better second hand and you'll save alot than spending this much money and upgrading it
How does this compare to the Fit STR 20.5?
Hey @Dougsterbob those T900 handle bars for KINK are 29 in wide. Remembered to measure them for you.

Yeah, I've been riding for 35 years, you won't catch me on anything but a high end frame full cromo.

Smart thinking but I live in cornfield fuck Midwest so there isn’t much to find around me in the used department
