In my mind Frank Zane always has represented the best of what bodybuilding was and should be. He didn’t pack on mass just for the sake of being “the biggest.” Rather, it was always about quality and SYMMETRY! That’s why he is a legend and on top of that, one of the classiest guys ever to be involved in the sport. I hold him in the highest regard for all the aforementioned reasons.

My favorite was Dorian Yates mainly for his training style, intensity and how hard/dry and lean he was. Like he was sculpted from granite. My favorite in terms of physique is Frank Zane and Samir Banut

My name is Michael Ball and I'm from Venice Ca originally and at Mark Twain Jr. High you were my math teacher.You were a good math teacher also.It was always "cool" to tell people that I had a great bodybuilder for a teacher.I'd see you on tv or in a magazine.I also had Mr. Waller for P.E. & he won a few titles in Bodybuilding also.What I do remember is the exhibition you put on and Arnold was there along with Columbu also Mr. Waller posed with a few others.There also was a couple people I knew from school that were into lifting weights,one being my friend Allan Smith and a student named Eddie.I don't remember his last name.I had you in 1970 or 71'.I too got into weightlifting for some time,though not to get real big but you had a influence on me healthwise and I wanted to thank you.
