Eduardo Kawak had a PHENOMENAL physique. He was so densely muscular and had such a powerful look...but aesthetic at the same time. He had some great genetics as well in that every muscle group was so full and deep insertions right to the end of his joints. Dude was amazing.
Great video! I truly miss the gyms and bodybuilders of the past. I continue to use old school methods of building muscle and stick to basics 39 years later. I carry this era in my heart. Thanks for sharing!

@jan heisler - actually they do. And nobody has remembers their names. In the ancient history - from the time of "Library of Alexandria" or even from the time of somebody like Hypatia or Eratosthenes = who exactly has remembered those names at this point? Or something like bodybuilding. Yeah man... they do "die" and in 100-500+ years nobody will remember their names. Why should we? Note: I agree. He was amazing. But then... so what? Who actually remembers his name now, among the general population, or even anybody using Tweeter, Instagram, TikTok? Hell, even on something like a Facebook? It is all an ancient history in a way, and only the "older" generation may actually do remember his name. After that time? Nobody cares. Pretty much nobody will know his name. Just a small group of people, which will get even smaller as the time passes by...
Yeah, I wish they'd bring it back. The guys today are too damn big and they lack the grainy conditioning and tiny midsections of those in the old days. They have no aesthetics at all and that's bad for the sport. Andrew Jacked is the one exception.
Agreed my friend, it seems however the bloated guts are slowly disappearing. Big ramy’s legs are out of this world though, guy got thighs like a t-rex or something. But you’re definitely right when you say older physiques were more attractive to look at
If this doesn’t motivate anyone to continue with their hard work outs then I’m going back to getting myself back into the person to become the best shape I’ve ever been in after seeing this one.
He was a true gentleman with a good soul and bigger heart , a phenomenal physic , I never got to his gym in Nice France but did get to talk to him through a close personal contact when he came to Birmingham UK getting tips from him I treasure to this day . Thank you for your video tribute 👍
What do you mean oldstyle? This is the only style that works. Not sure what everyone talks old style. So is there like a new style where you just sit and muscles grow? Lol
I remember seeing Eduardo Kawak the day after he won the NABBA Pro Mr Universe in the mid 1980s. He was doing a guest spot at a show I was at. He looked tremendous. Lots of muscle hanging over the knee on his thighs.

Guy has fire in his eyes. Like he's just high on endorphins from being so fit. This was an unexpectedly awesome video. Looks like he just wants to scream and roar at how awesome he feels.
My era when I did bodybuilding/powerlifting 1982-92, in ‘86/87 I Saw Ed guest pose at a U.K. amateurs show at Preston Guild Hall, England. When he walked on stage His physique was so spectacular, I totally forgot about the amateur champions who just won their division 😂 Ed wasn’t tall, but he just blew everyones mind with his freaky genetics, long muscle bellies, extraordinary size, perfect proportions and great aesthetics for his height, and he wasn’t even cut for competition. Not sure why a physique of that quality in the 80s never placed high or won Mr. Olympia but he truly was a sight to behold, a genuine 80s phenomenon, RIP.
This takes me back to 83 when I saw him win the Pro and Jeff King the Amateur (John Brown looked fantastic as well). Like Fox, Kawak was a former NABBA winner so he was screwed by the IFBB politics, both should have had success. King didn't want to go down the road of more and more drugs for what was very little financial gain, so he walked away from the sport and is still fit and healthy today, while as we all know Ed passed away long ago, way too young. Watching this reminds me of the likes of Kal Szkalak, Rod Koontz and Tim Belknap. Quality old school BB

I've been going to the gym with my son for the last 6 months. During this I can tell he doesn't really get in to it like I do. I'm 57 and knows what it takes to workout. I tried to show him by example, lifting until you have no more reps, getting mentally into working out. I tell him what I learned playing football. Off the field I'm a nice guy, but when I get on that field, I become a F ING monster who wants to wreck the guy in front of me and the guy who has the ball. The gym same thing, but instead you lift as hard as you can, slow as you can until it shocks your muscles, to the point you think your gonna puke, and you will see your body transform and you'll love it. Well I think he's had enough, as he has no drive to workout like we all did in the food old days.
