    Where did you learn to work with lapis, and or other material?

      stephen chiappetta I learned lapidary from my godfather here in Taos NM and lapis is actually a lot easier to work then some materials such as agates and jasper

    I have one with a speed chuck thing on it that's really cool, but the thing has no power! I have trouble finding uses for it because it's so under powered.

    Is there a name for the conical part of the arbor? I just got an old redwing, with conical mounts on both sides, and don't know what to look for

      I’m sorry my friend I don’t know what you mean by the Conical Do you mean a little end parts that push off the attachments that go in the harbor? I’m sorry I don’t know much about what these things are called or really anything much about this machine I use it every day though

      @@lapidarydave Yes. I did find out what they were called. Tapered Spindles. I don't know much about the various attachments for this, but from what i can figure out, they are used for various cloth or soft wheels.
