sylv passive is definitely multiplicative. I saw 200 * 6 on ETC when he had 20 armor, which should be ~1500 damage
path of exile taught me how this difference really matters I really like it when games allows you to differentiate this easily without consulting a wiki. How poe does it is all "increase/decrease" modifiers are additive and all "more/less" modifiers are multiplicative with each other.
Most games stick with one or the other. I think hots is all multiplicative.
edit: 22:15 wtf? it's additive?
at 18:00 ish you have +205.5% from talent and tooltip says 68 + 342 dot (initial hit and every tick is 68 dmg) which should be 207.74 after the quest multiplier and 260 if 25% is multiplicative... and 225 if additive. etc has 20 armor so it should be multiplied by 0.8 for either 208 or 180 but he's taking 192 per tick?
Oh it's because the lvl 7 talent (10% more damage) is multiplicative.

Almost all modifiers in this game stacks additively, wiki says its additive & fan's calculator says it's additive - but you can conclude what you want I guess.
@@Junglej0hn I edited my comment after seeing that, I got my original conclusion from seeing the damage at 18:00.
I assumed we didn't know how most talents in this game work because most skills have only one talent that increases damage...
sylv's 7 talent is supposed to be additive according to the wiki but the math doesn't check out. 68.4 * (1 + 2.055 + 0.25 + 0.1) * (1 - 0.2) = 186.32 but ETC takes 192. Final tick without armor did 240 when it should have been 68.4 * (1 + 2.08 + 0.25 + 0.1) = 234.61. It should have been 250.54 if the 10% was multiplicative so I'm wrong there too... but there's some weird rounding/truncation of numbers blizzard does or something is off
Rule of thumb, everything is additive.
Also remember that bonuses to damage are calculated (nowadays) on-hit and not on-cast.

I tried in try mode.
At lvl 24 W does 77 dmg/s. With 0 stacks bonus damage from passive is 19. With 9001 stack bouns damage is also 19. So it applies 25% to base dmg.
So odd thing is with 9001 stack it shows 4500.1% bonus damage. So it must be 100% + 4500.1% = 4600.1% (46x times the damage). 77x46 = 3542 dmg. But it reality it deals 3400 dmg/s. Maybe because the real damage is not exactly 77, but 76 point something, rounded to 77.
My record in qm was 430, but we also lost this game, well done😅

For a map like the foundry yes, because you can stack a lot with the mech. It's insane!

Most of the ETC's chain stunns were executed on point tho. Fan probably didn't see that one coming, this is still in high bronze

This map is the best for Syl stacks, take Q stacks at 20 to help you insta stack and W, hardest thing endgame is not killing people too fast, and trying to explain to your team to throw every obj...🤣
