Couple of minutes into the video just gotta say a few things. 1. Pick crippling poision almost always it guarantees you land Q after your opener. 2. Valeera is not countered by brightwing, silence and burst her down before she can do anything 3. W consumes a lot of energy and the damage is insignificant, use for wave clear 99% of the time. 4. There's a bunch of things that can reveal you and ruin your opener but i wouldn't consider them as counters to Valeera, the only actual true counter to Valeera is Thrall's Earthquake since it renders you completely useless for the duration, you're slowed and revealed, the only way around it is to wait it out which leaves your team in a 4v5 situation. I won't go into too much detail as i could write about Valeera for days, Valeera is suitable for any situation as i've found great success with her even in D1/Master , be patient, pick your target, use the correct opener for the given scenario and make sure you land those Q's
GG Very clear and straightforward explanation of your thought process under pressure! Reminds me of Paly's old videos back in the day. It's got the same fun, rambunctious energy that embodies the game itself. I also have that Junkrat on my friends list. Funny, I played with him earlier today with the same cosmetics and all =]
Wow, that was a very exciting match; you and your team really had to work for it. Great explanations and showcase of how to play her. I really love how well HOTS tackled come-back mechanics to make it so that no game is ever really lost until the core dies.
Love the Video, but I have a few caveats to share on builds. If your team is 100% covering the macro, then your build is 'fine' but I prefer a few different things. Relentless at 4 is the 'standard', but Hemorrhage is the one to pick if you want to add some single target damage and a Major boost to your camp/boss clear. On Maps that have a single big dude you have to hit (immortals, punishers, bosses, etc), the 40% damage boost for 7 seconds is just hard to pass up if your draft is funky and your team can't do that job for you. If you are on a team with a jaina/greymane that will 100% kill the camps every time, then you don't need this, but if you don't trust your allies to do all of the things then this helps you do some of them yourself. Everyone seems to sleep on Blade Flurry and Fatal Finesse. If you are a God, and Never miss your Q's Mutilate is 100% better. If, however, you are not a Master Valeera, then Fatal Finesse allows you to fully combo someone with Garrote+SS+BF+Evisc for 100 energy, a silence, huge AOE pop of 350+ late game, and a ton of single target damage, and you will have an extra Q to keep chasing or get out if you miss the kill. The real beauty though, is if you're on the aforementioned team that won't clear your minions even though they're playing jaina/Azmo/Raynor and easily could.... Then you can pop W twice and wipe the wave, and get on with your life without spending 15 seconds alone in a lane when you should be helping your team. Lastly, I find it really hard to pick Q ambush talents at 13+16. The number of times in a game in which I want to only do damage, and not silence or stun/blind an enemy is not zero, but really close to zero. At 13, having the choice to blind someone for 4.5 seconds or reduce their spellpower for 6 seconds is WAY better in literally every case i can think of than having a shorter D cooldown. I will literally never want more D's than wanting one of those soft CCS in any given game. Because I will almost never open with Q, Seal Fate at 16 is a guaranteed 50% damage and extra combo point literally always so I can immediately EQE or WQE and then choose to stay in the fight or back up for some really good poke. If enemy is grouped up with some friendly CC, then you can even WQEWQE for several thousand damage onto one target and 350+ in an AOE if you can hit 3 with your (now 20 energy) blade flurry.
Good game. I really like Valera too but I am terrible at hitting with Q, specially with mutilate. I have better luck with AA build, even if it does less burst damage.
on average it takes about 2-3 games to get 1 that I like. Truthfully I am a little too hard on myself to the point that I have deleted good content just because I die once. It's a bad habit that I need to break. I think the longest it ever took was 14 attempts to get a good video. I do get a decent bit of first takes though. It all depends
Love to see an Ambush Valeera! I personally don't go for the Q talents on 4 and 7 because I'm so shit at landing it. The mv speed and double stacks on 4 is well worth it imo and on 7 going either E or W upgrade is quite ok. Try it 😊
I can't argue with you because I agree that your build is the better build. I just try to protest that build because it is focused around Garrote openers. In my opinion, 2.5s silence is just absurd
@@ThingWub oh no no I go full Q. Getting Vanish on a 4s cd is amazing. You jump in, bring someone down to 50%, and leave. Wait for Vanish, repeat. I call it my harass build
If you don't want to be revealed and lose your opening, don't go into stealth before the fight. You should come closer on a mount, press d right before you want to attack and you will always land your opening because during the first second of you getting into stealth u can't be revealed. And could you explain me how to land your short q because I often miss with this ability
If you’re trying to burst a hero, do not W - the damage is too insignificant. Just E Q Q E. I also find crippling poison to be borderline must take. It makes Q’s way easier to hit, and for situations where that brightwing gets away with some move speed, you offset that with the poison
If you're good enough at hitting Q, the slow is useless. 20% is too small and it becomes even more useless through the game when everyone on the enemy team gets bonus movement speed/dashes/blinks/cleanses etc. I rather prefer having great survivability with block talent. Self-sustain is the only thing Valeera lacks hardly. Block allows you to play much more agressively since it saves a lot of effective hp over time during constant roaming and ganks. I have had so many cases in almost every game where block allowed me to dive in, get the kill and then survive at 1 hp and leave.
I thought you didn't use her W in pvp due to the amount of energy it consumes. Instead you do E (opener) Q Q E. I think it was Fan who said that. Thoughts? Or do you find that weaving in the W works fine?
I think Valeera is generally underpowered and easily countered, especially by experienced players or stacked groups, so her E doesn’t need a significant nerf imo. 5 squishies with almost no cc on dragon shire, I would say, is a walk in the park for her :) otherwise good video
You're not wrong at all. If a team is even semi-grouped it makes Valeera have to change her whole playstyle from a burst assassin, into more of an anti-dive support hero
Yeah, comments are funny. "AA build", "W+E build", "D+Q build". All of them are just really bad to the point it's fun to see someone defending them. AA and W+E build would never deal as much damage, as Q build, and D+Q build has deeper troubles and works only against noobs, but as soon as opponents group up - you either loose 2 talents, either loose 1 talent and become useless for your team (wo silence or blinds). D+Q definitely has it's own use cases, but it's very niche and shouldn't be mentioned in serious games. P.S. Q build is better even if you bad with hitting Q - you can always learn and improve and it's not hard to do

I know you probably record multiple games and post the most interesting, but man yours are consistently so fun to watch.
I'm so glad that you think so!! I do put a rather large amount of work into making the best content that I can. You saying that makes it all worth it!

Thanks man! That's means a lot. Pally was a big inspiration to me growing up. Also go tell your friend about this video then if you haven't.

6.5 bad comeback mechanic
Hey man please post more videos. You are great at it, your channel will grow
I had to take a little break due to having another kid! I am getting back to making more videos now though! Thanks for the confidence boost btw!
All I can hear in my head when you are talking about garrote at the beginning is Pally screaming "TWO POINT FIVE SECOND SILENCE!"
TWO POINT FIVE SECOND SILENCE is a stupidly long time haha
I hear it too! LOL
11/10 I don't know how many games you played to get that footage, but its a perfect game to showcase Valeera.
This one might have been first take, I can't remember. Either way it wasn't more than a few. Really glad you enjoyed though!

Nice game! I see you are really hyped playing Valeera : )
I truly love her kit and personality, I also really hate some of her balance issues
Yay i wanna master this hero, thanks for the vid wub-senpai
really awesome game dude, keep it up!
Had to take a little break. I am back now and making content again!
Good game. I really like Valera too but I am terrible at hitting with Q, specially with mutilate. I have better luck with AA build, even if it does less burst damage.
In my opinion AA build is the better build, I just like to protest builds that I find overtuned
Nice Valeera plays, one of my favorite heroes!
Do you always have such awesome games when you record these or sometimes you re-record a video?

You right clicked there due to your muscle memory from that right click spamming while moving IMO.
Valeera Curse is strong.
Valeera is just Samuro designed to kill noobs XD
Stealth hero go brrrrrrrrr

well said haha

Yeah, ranked takes too long to find a game for me
