Season 3 should have had Lockhart reuniting Georgiana with her mother in order to prove that he'd really fallen in love with her in Season 2. Such a missed opportunity to make him a complex character.

Yeah just based from the description the you wrote, I can kind of see that happening for them so he will get a redemption and they can be together since I am not sure that they will make another love interest for her since the men she has been paired with have broken her trust a lot that I don't mind her being alone and reuniting her mother. Great video by the way, it captures their relationship well and how it was sweet romance but also how fleeting it was since she figured out the truth about him, well done! :D
The writers can make her end up with Arthur. I think it's more than possible. Anyway I hope her endgame is Lockhart. They have a mindblowing chemistry and their love story is intensely interesting. I know Lockhart is going to be in s3 and even though I heard the writers are not planning to give him a redemption arc, I still have hope they will! 😅 Thank you! ❤️
@@daniyalive I just wish that would happen with Arthur and Georgiana since they get along so well but I don’t think that it might since Arthur has no interest in marriage and is very neutral about it and just want to pursue his independence and what he wants to do with his life. But maybe it will happen if Lockhart or another love interest or storyline doesn’t come to play. The thing is I don’t completely buy that he really cared or respected her since he never told her the truth of his intentions so that is why if they don’t do a redemption arc, I just want him to get better development and see more of his story as to why he is like that exactly and if the could be on good terms than be a couple yet. I’m not sure. 🤔But if the writers are lying about the redemption arc and they get to know each other more in a different plot line and he is not really a racist and doesn’t care about her fortune then I can see it but I’m not sure what the writers are up to.

I often wonder if the writers are even aware of what we viewers thought of their plot themes and if they care that some of us are really annoyed at some of their mess in S3. For example this one. Do they realise they made an unholy mess of gorgeous Lockhart and infuriated Alexander's fans? What an outrageous waste of a wonderful character (and a fine actor) who I too was sure had fallen for Georgiana and was the ideal husband for her. And the actor was available for series 3 - he was in a couple of episodes for heaven's sake. That ludicrous muddled court case which I watched in horror, followed by Georgiana so obsessed with all her money and power that sadly I loathed her from then on and was disgusted they brought back that gambler for her. Only the appearance of her mother was any use for her story in S3. If they'd wanted Otis to be her eventual husband, why on earth did they show him initially as a compulsive gambler, a horrible addiction I am sure he will turn to again now he has all her money under his complete control - the temptation is huge. I could never trust him, never. But Lockhart, he doesn't have any need to cheat Georgiana with her money as it's "all in the family".

the writers have a way; on shows and soaps to go a different way, they show us one thing, and do something else; i really believe that lockhart was and still inlove with georgiana, since they first met. for what ever reason that letter was sent to sidney's family was some kind of set up. lockhart probably can't tell arthur or georgiana yet-as to why the letter says what it said by sidney. they belong together; if she ends up with arthur? so be it. it's all to the writers.
I think they could've done something with his character, especially in season 3. Her husband did almost the same as him in S2 and idk, she shouldn't have settle for that unless there's a good arch of actual change that the viewer can see. As S3 went, her storyline seemed very contrived.
Alexander Vlahos, great fav of mine (remember him in Versailles!). He was Georgiana's father's nephew and nearest relation - ie his mother was Mr Lambe's sister! So why is he rejected as a jerk? I was furious with the mess made of this in Series 3. Disgrace.
