I hope the company who sells the steamer pot really appreciate you guys demo it and give you a free one because you've helped boost their sales overnight inadvertently. LOL I've added it to my Christmas wish list!
Yes !!!! Same way parents used to process cranberries. Steam and juice them for cranberry juice drink, ... run them through sieve for mushing, and concoct into fresh canned cranberry sauce (without gel preservative) for an all-fruit product putting on toast, turkey stuffing etc.
I put this juicer pot on my amazon wish list. That thing looks wonderful and no seeds or pulp to strain out....even better. Cannot wait to get to our homestead in 2 weeks and start living the life! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for this video! I actually just ordered this juicer/steamer yesterday using the Amazon link from one of your other videos. Can't wait to try this with our strawberries soon! Thanks guys!
I don't have the juicer, but I did make some peach syrup from peach scraps, after making blueberry peach jam...it did require adding water, but oh my word...it came out tasting just like fresh picked peaches...
I enjoyed your post. I am sharing It right now Facebook and or Pinterest and hope it gain more popularity. I wish to use some of these great tips when I am cooking. BIG thumbs up! Flo, from beauty and brains girls here on RUclips
I had to take the camera. Danny was videoing my hip, leg and foot half the time. LOL I guess that could have been bloopers. He tends to watch me and not look to see where the camera is.
I know this is an older video, but I am going to give it a whirl anyways- so it is a cup of sugar per cup of juice? This looks fabulous, I have to make it.
I just read an interesting tip - some are using their steam juicer to juice their sugar cane. :) Although you and Danny do large quantities at a time, maybe this is a good backup system or when the weather or other circumstances (not enough cane for a large outdoor batch?). For those that have tried it, they claim that it works. :)
Yes, fruits, tomatoes, as well as chicken, fish, seafood, cabbage, potatoes, sausage, puddings and sauces, vegetables. It is awesome for many steamed items. Hoping to do more with it in the future. Thanks
We have made pear, apple, strawberry, peach, blueberry, and blackberry. You can use it to make any syrup or jelly that you would like. Pear is one of our favorites. Thanks
I don't know about when it ships. Check out the other brands on Amazon. You can go through our link and check out the other brands and see if they ship earlier. Thanks
i was just looking at that steamer on the phone when this video played lol im gonna order one now that syrup would be good in mixed drinks.it works with other fruits too right? mmmm peach syrup rum bombs 🙂
Wanda, how thick did it end up? It looks quite thin going into the jars. I just made a batch of this syrup and now I'm curious as to how it's going to turn out. Canning syrup for the first time over here and scared out of my mind. LOL 😂
Annette Newton Lemon juice is a citric acid that helps it keep its bright color. We are still eating tomatoes canned in 2010 that are as bright red as the day they were canned using lemon juice.THanks Annette
Funny I woke up to PBS special this a.m. They had sumptuous visuals of strawberry desserts and went on show a plaque that read Strawberry Fields, John Lennon, McCartney House, etc. so it must have been a show about the Beatles. That silly song has been ear-wigging me since. I only reinforced it with your video! Haha! I wanted to ask if you could make mint jelly this way, too! Hmmm bet your kitchen would smell incredible!
Wanda can you make tomato juice with the steamer? I have a steam juicer have not used it. Yet will soon. Thank you for sharing. The Syrup looks awesome. :)
Good video but I can't get over the amount of sugar that is needed or used, you are taking good strawberries and adding as much sugar as berries, and is the sugar from GMO cane or corn, there must be some way to use honey or maple syrup or apple juice to use as a sweetener and get near same result.
I hope the company who sells the steamer pot really appreciate you guys demo it and give you a free one because you've helped boost their sales overnight inadvertently. LOL I've added it to my Christmas wish list!

This is a great product, thanks Wanda and Danny. We have all ready done grapes. God Bless you’ll 👍🙏

We love the ease of the juicer steamer. NO more jelly bags, no more messy clean up. Thanks
I don't have the juicer, but I did make some peach syrup from peach scraps, after making blueberry peach jam...it did require adding water, but oh my word...it came out tasting just like fresh picked peaches...
the best part was no wasted fruit...
I've also taken a couple tablespoons from the various syrups and added it to mineral water to make an AWESOME soda!
Thanks for including what you use the syrup for. It looks wonderful.

How many cups of strawberries did you start out with to get 9 cups of juice?
How long did the steaming process take to get the juice?
About 3 to 4 quarts of strawberries, I think.

Love this juicer/steamer ! Can you post a link to Danny's wooden spoons on Etsy ? Thank you.

neat, can you do that with any fruit that's grown in the south? just wondering!
Yes, fruits, tomatoes, as well as chicken, fish, seafood, cabbage, potatoes, sausage, puddings and sauces, vegetables. It is awesome for many steamed items. Hoping to do more with it in the future. Thanks
Since I'm not a strawberry eater ... What other types of syrup have you had success making?
We have made pear, apple, strawberry, peach, blueberry, and blackberry. You can use it to make any syrup or jelly that you would like. Pear is one of our favorites. Thanks
Deep South Homestead ... Thanks, you have effectively made my mouth water. :)
You are up early!❤️✌🏻 have a great day!
Yeah, we videoed this and edited and uploaded all before 4:30 this morning. LOL NOT REALLY! Just rescheduled our time to release. Love you guys
When he says we added half a tsp of lemon juice to that, did he mean to the whole pot or each Jar?
Was that 1 tsp of lemon juice per pint? Or 1 tsp for the whole recipe? Thank you in advance…I’m planning to make this recipe this season.
Danny and Wanda, I was going to order one but it says it ships in 1-2 MONTHS. Can you guys link one that ships right away? I have Prime.
I don't know about when it ships. Check out the other brands on Amazon. You can go through our link and check out the other brands and see if they ship earlier. Thanks
did you put 1/2 tsp of lemon juice in the pot of syrup? or in each jar? thanks :-) by the way the syrup looks beautiful!
Chicken Momee In each jar Thanks
i was just looking at that steamer on the phone when this video played lol im gonna order one now that syrup would be good in mixed drinks.it works with other fruits too right?
mmmm peach syrup rum bombs 🙂
Like Lavender or mint I bet you could distill that in this
1/2 of Teaspoon of lemon juice in the jar or the whole batch?
The whole batch
Wanda, how thick did it end up? It looks quite thin going into the jars. I just made a batch of this syrup and now I'm curious as to how it's going to turn out. Canning syrup for the first time over here and scared out of my mind. LOL 😂
Danny why did you or why do you add the lemon juice ?
Annette Newton Lemon juice is a citric acid that helps it keep its bright color. We are still eating tomatoes canned in 2010 that are as bright red as the day they were canned using lemon juice.THanks Annette

I wanted to ask if you could make mint jelly this way, too! Hmmm bet your kitchen would smell incredible!
I will have to see what is involved in mint jelly, I have the mint. Thanks
THUMBS UP! xoxo
Wanda can you make tomato juice with the steamer? I have a steam juicer have not used it. Yet will soon. Thank you for sharing. The Syrup looks awesome. :)
Yes, tomatoes are done the same way. Just the pulp is left and perfect juice.
is that a still.
Where is the homemade ice cream! Sure looks good.
Why the water bath? With the equal parts sugar/juice & lemon isn't that just an extra step? More expense on power and heating up the kitchen. LOL
We could leave it and let it seal, but we like the extra precaution because we store this for several years. Thanks
👍
I'm thinking this would be good in my homemade goat yogurt
I will use my juicer cause I can afford another canning tool at the momemnt. my juicer takes away the seeds and pulp . fingers crossed
Frozen strawberries ?
What a cheat !
>
Not cheating. They grow their own..so do we. We freeze all our berries until we can can them. Harvest time is a busy time.
Bet you could distill essential oils with that
Good video but I can't get over the amount of sugar that is needed or used, you are taking good strawberries and adding as much sugar as berries, and is the sugar from GMO cane or corn, there must be some way to use honey or maple syrup or apple juice to use as a sweetener and get near same result.
