Nice toy I had a lot of those little monster best one was 406, 3500 stall turbo 350 manual valve body 373 for 9" shit load of fun back in the day was called mustang eater. Back into day 80s
me using the stock trans mount location and building forward. cool. good luck with repairs. you gain more room in the front yes. but business is not usual in the back. i literally have fingers worth of space between rad and motor/accessories. but i can service everything and that being the one who does all of my work and its a daily makes a world of difference.
@@ramrunnergarage5941 1994 s10 blazer so last year of the square body. 2wd had the 4.3l and 4l60. the drivetrain came from a silverado 1500 with the vortec 5.7l 350. i mounted trans in same spot to reuse driveshaft and dont run a fan off the belt. i got chrysler concord electric fans and put them infront of the radiator. the scoop for the fans is bigger than the opening for the core support so when moving my shit stays cold. so to strip the front of the motor you just pull rad up and its out of the way u can get to the acessories whatever. dizzy comes right up out of the back so u dont fight it. i can even install and remove the long tube headers in the vehicle so theres that. ill be going shorty headers next year or the year after if these hold up another season. its got a lunati cam for efi and it is perfect in this motor. i got some high offset rims 2 years ago and everyone loves it. i put 1 in spacers on the front and 2 inch on the back and it have a nice square stance and about 3 inches of tire out the wheel well so it rides great on the highway. 3/4 ton springs on the back help with launches and hauling of things. i get good gas mileage 50 state legal swap and emissions. turn the key and go where ever you wanna go. shes been up daily for 42k miles other than winter in this form.
@@chehystpewpur4754 It sounds like you really put a lot of thought into it when building, you mentioned lowering, that is one thing on my list I would like to see done in the near future. I will bet the cam you installed made it a totally different animal. Cheers to you build.
@@ramrunnergarage5941 ill tell you this it was no easy feat and the plan was to have it on the road in a week. i drove it and the donor truck into the barn days apart. but waiting on parts and wrong parts for the rebuild is life. it took a month start to finish mostly just waiting on other people but hey it gave me more time to think. which is how i got the cam i borrowed money from a friend to get the cam instead of do it later. he didnt even care just how much cause he was geeked i was gonna build a motor for me and not someone else. he loves my flavors. so its rare when he gets to see another creation. he went on the maiden voyage with me and did the camera man and called dibs if i sell it and hes got the money. i wont sell so not a worry unless its for a good reason. and i didnt lower it lower it but i did adjust the shackles to get the back end more flat vs up like the blazers and trucks ride. the 3/4 ton springs i have also have more leafs and helper springs obviously so they dont bend and twist like stock regular springs do so having the back a little lower it transfers the weight instead of just burns the tires off. stock springs got unpredictable on launches these 3/4 ton are stable so i can apply torque until i dont need any more. kind of like the guy on a forklift loading a pallet in ur truck he slowly drops the rear end down till it settles. the more throttle i apply the more it sinks down and just bites. i have an open diff and it is never an issue. i was going to swap a ford explorer 8.8 in with 3.55 limited slip. im actually going with the 3.27 open because gearing. ill drop 200-300 rpms on the highway and will really open up mileage. i have the torque so why lose my ability to drive. i go on 1000+ mile trips in it alot so that will add up nicely.
You have a long road ahead. Get on it have some fun

Been there done that in 98 truck was crazy 🤪 put corvette roll pan on the back and lowered it
Why was it crazy?
That's a cool truck! I bet it runs out great with that 350 vortec. Looking forward to the exhaust video!
The truck is quite fast due to the horsepower, and being very light.
The front end does need to come down a little, and the rear bumper isn't in the best of condition. Still a fun project to wrench on.

It runs great. The cam is stock, and the torque converter is stock and is very balanced and easy to drive
Have gotten your S10 running yet?
Have you got your Jimmy started yet?
@@MarkRaymond-k1p not quite yet
What rearend is in it ? Cant be stock ??
At the time of filming the rear end was bone stock, if we pushed it too hard it would blow up like Dynamite!
What do you mean sealed?
The term sealed engine means the engine was not disassemble/ rebuilt.
@ramrunnergarage5941 oh ok I get it
