This movie deserves every awards it won. La la land is one of the best movies I've ever seen! Everything about the movie is beautiful & brilliant. Ryan & Emma are phenomenal. Hope Mr. Gosling will win an Academy award; he's one talented, handsome, and wonderful man.
Breaks the record for most golden globes won my film. Now that's an achievement. Wow. Beautifully shot and meticulously crafted film. Damien, Ryan and Emma deserve this recognition.
Ryan Gosling is seriously a gentleman. Look at 1:37 how he notinced Emma didn't know where the one asking the question was so he stood beside her and showed her. It was lowkey but has depth.
I don't wanna say it but I gotta say it... this movie is a MASTERPIECE... on so many levels... when I left the theatre after seeing it I was like "I dunno know..." but then it hits you and you go "HOLY SH**" I get it now!! It has this strange delayed effect that resonates long after you see it. Trust me go see this if you haven't...
when he says "it actually took 6 years" it makes you really appreciate the work that went into the movie. it took 6 years to create this masterpiece. even if you didn't personally like the movie, you have to give some appreciation. it only takes a minute for you to criticize this film, but in reality no one will ever understand what and how this movie touches lives in small and monumental ways. not to mention the work, the time, the vision and the dream that made it possible. so if you did not enjoy the movie, for whatever reason that is, have the decency to admit that your opinion is not all that matters. and ryan, and emma and john and Damien all deserve much commendation for being able to put this masterpiece together. they deserve respect. And they have absolutely earned every ounce. la la land is beautiful.
I don't know why i thought it wasn't going to be a good movie, but watched it last week and i'm blown away by how gracefully both actors had performed i was stunned. And the awards they have been getting they totally deserved it.
I love foreign reporters they always ask the weirdest and most random question about climate change or the election :D :D :D PS I'm not American either
I'm so happy for Emma and Ryan, their chemistry on screen after many movies together is recognized by the Hollywood foreigner and the director and John killed it 😍😁☺
Easily the most profound, beautiful, heartfelt, poetic and mesmerizing film I have seen in a long time. From start to finish, I was enthralled between the performances(give them the fucking oscar now),score and overall music as well as cinematography and design. I have never been so inspired in my life.
Congratulations to all of you! To all who made that great story! It's a wonderful movie and I am in love! Tommorrow I will go to cinema with girl that I love to watch "La La Land"!
Emma Stone has a beautiful mixture of introvert and extrovert. She has a similar funny bone to JLaw but Stone has an awkwardness and goofiness that is so funny and natural. The two of them together however are lethal!!
My question would be about the ending - SPOILERS - were Mia and Seb really in love with each other or just a support system for each other when they needed it and once they didn't they drifted apart. If Mia could have it all - her dream and a lover, would she still pick her husband or Seb? I think she would pick her husband. Also, I think the modern era question the reporter asked was a good one - if I recall, no character used their smartphone to do anything but call each other during the entire movie - they didn't use any social media app or text.
I believe that they were in love with each other, but in the end they both eventually realized that in order to achieve both of their dreams and to be happy, they couldn't be together. If she could have it all, she would have Sebastian. That was the whole point of the montage being shown in the end. But in that montage, Sebastian doesn't end up owning the club shown in the ending sequence. Yes, they were both happy but he wouldn't have achieved his true dream explained throughout the whole film. That's why they both gave smiles to each other knowing that they have both succeeded.
It's a modern love story about Hollywood, so Mia will continue to stay with her husband and continue to have a love affair with Sebastian. It's unspoken at the end. They look at each other and know what's up.
***** Interesting, I interpret the montage as a simple "what if?" but not exactly a desire to be with one another. I think if they were truly in love with each other they wouldn't have drifted apart. I think for one moment in time, they were an important support system to each other, but nothing more. If, however your interpretation is right, I feel bad for Mia's husband. No one deserves to be a consolation. Maybe I'm naive, but I would like for him (or anyone) to be with someone who would choose him if circumstances were not an issue.
noah wayne Well, the reason why their relationship faltered in the end was because of their conflicting careers, so the circumstances unfortunately did have an impact on each other. From what I recall, I don't believe Sebastian had a desire to travel to Paris with Mia once she got the part in the end, so that's what led him to stay in L.A. and form the Seb's club because that's what Mia wanted for him anyway. So it was a win-win, but they simply couldn't have each other, and they both respected that.
Well, to be serious, Sebastian loved Mia but Mia did not love him the same way. Sebastian did the right thing in not holding Mia back from her dream. As they say, if you set them free and they don't come back, it really wasn't there. The ending is a story of unrequited love. Remember, it was Mia who broke up with Sebastian, as she felt a lot of jealousy or something not knowing where he was and what he was doing. It was Sebastian who snuck back to make a surprise romantic dinner.
Funny that they couldn't answer that one question. And I'm about the graduate with a thesis titles "Social Media Dependency: Sustaining Intimate Romantic Relationships Among Young Adults" It all has to do with how social media revolves around love nowadays... how different it can with the offline and online transition. Basically, their love story does not apply to modern age love stories.
Those faces Emma Stone did were a bit arrogant, and yes the questions were long and it reminded me that journalist who asked Leonardo DiCaprio at the Oscars last year, but Rayan in the other hand was much nicer and professional when he made it clear that they had so much champagne to answer these long questions
Oriolez I think Ryan gave up half way listening to the question that's why he looked professional and not phased, whereas Emma actually tried to understand the whole question i was pulling the same face when trying to understand the question lol
She wasn't being arrogant at all. She was trying to listen and think so she could try to respond, Ryan is often the one who looks arrogant through multiple interviews, also interpreted as bored, or it's just him and he's neither. Don't be so quick to judge, everyone is different.
you have to understand they're not only a lil buzzed from drinking champagne but a lot of the questions asked were asked by people with accents and if you really want to pay attention to someone and understand the full question some people make faces like that when trying to concentrate.
Of course, love is changing and the true meaning of Love is this : Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. ( guess where I quoted it from -hint - the MOST EVER READ BOOK IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE )
wow. compare this to the egotistical american hustle cast backstage interview with jennifer lawrence, bradley cooper... you could just tell how nice the la la land cast is in comparison.
It's the whole...What could have been. I think most people have that special person that got away, due to the struggle of that moment in life where you may have been on different paths. Saw it tonight, great production, great story.
itd be nice if director would face a spanish-speaking journalist, asking question, when answering. people are so awkward around other people nowadays. i see it more and more just walking on the street. usa is truly a country full of isolated and lonely people.
Some really dum questions asked! As for the 'modern era' question...people today need to be reminded of the importance of connection outside of social media and dating apps that too often we miss the simplicity of love and romance portrayed in bygone eras. Loved the movie.
This movie is so great it will have you saying "AGAIN" over and over. There singing... again? There dancing... again? They're at Ryan Goslings apartment...again? I never seen so many people walk out of an so called romantic movie and play on their cellphones. Everyone comments on the cinematics only for a reason.
"great, SO EXCITED for your answer!" I love Emma!!
TNBShocker they are buzzed lol
@@carbeeezy2203 thanks
This movie deserves every awards it won. La la land is one of the best movies I've ever seen! Everything about the movie is beautiful & brilliant. Ryan & Emma are phenomenal. Hope Mr. Gosling will win an Academy award; he's one talented, handsome, and wonderful man.

😂that was such a weird question, why did he ask that???
Ryan Gosling is seriously a gentleman. Look at 1:37 how he notinced Emma didn't know where the one asking the question was so he stood beside her and showed her. It was lowkey but has depth.
it has no depth at all he just did what any person would do
I don't wanna say it but I gotta say it... this movie is a MASTERPIECE... on so many levels... when I left the theatre after seeing it I was like "I dunno know..." but then it hits you and you go "HOLY SH**" I get it now!! Totally agree! I felt the same way. It just grew on you!
for REAL! took me like 4 years to finally get it lol

Damien has now officially become one of my fav directors that eloquence 👌

Emma Stone has a beautiful mixture of introvert and extrovert. She has a similar funny bone to JLaw but Stone has an awkwardness and goofiness that is so funny and natural. The two of them together however are lethal!!
The director is so young. just incredible!
Gosling un caballero con Emma, mutuo respeto. Emma es una dama con Ryan, se aleja de su metro cuadrado. Hermosa amistad.
2nd time watching, more impressed with Gosling this time. Pure charms.
Emma and Ryan love eachother tbh
Emma and Ryan, both surprises of those Globes I guess. Well deserved and that movie seems the right now for the current period. Congrats.
This movie was absolutely amazing, I defiantly suggest you all go see it.
At 7:24 Ryan became "the Driver"

Eagerly waiting to watch this movie for so long...love Ryan n Emma
I love Emma but why she always looks she about to cry ?
Am I the only one observing the fact that Emma and Ryan are both Scorpios and are born the same day!! They act very similar, weird!!
HAHA this is like a college class on philosophy
Damien had the perfect answer for that ridiculous question about the "modern love fantasy": 5:02
A touch form the past musicals, I love it.
Emma looked like she was crying when they asked her a wuedtion
Emma is so beautiful
Mr S Yes Emma is gorgeous and I like her bubbly personality
At the very end, we can hear someone humming city of stars xD
There were problems, it's not perfect but so much of it was wonderful. The opening 10 minutes are enough to sell most people. It's a great film.
I'm glad I saw this in the theater :)
I could listen to Emma talk forever!!
💖💖💖
Awesome
From the trailer, I got a very GOOD FEEL to this movie - almost like a real DISNEP MOVIE COME TO LIFE ! Love the directing theme behind this....
These questions are crap. Where are these reporters from?
Funny that they couldn't answer that one question. And I'm about the graduate with a thesis titles "Social Media Dependency: Sustaining Intimate Romantic Relationships Among Young Adults"

Casie Silverman ooo that makes sense

the question asked was fking retarded in the first place. unrelated and out of the blue trouble question? I cringed so hard
you have to understand they're not only a lil buzzed from drinking champagne but a lot of the questions asked were asked by people with accents and if you really want to pay attention to someone and understand the full question some people make faces like that when trying to concentrate.
Would they do it in the Oscars?! OMG! if just that dream comes true!!

7:00 OH NO DAMIEN YOU BOTCHED THAT HANDSHAKE!
I wasnt going to see the movie. But This changed my mind.
Did anybody else hear some guy humming "City of Stars" at the end of the video?
wow. compare this to the egotistical american hustle cast backstage interview with jennifer lawrence, bradley cooper... you could just tell how nice the la la land cast is in comparison.
i loves all of these guys...especially this film...Emma & Ryan are cute partner in film..
I'm so happy for them.
Emma at 1:53. LMAO
Emma and Ryan looks like more brother and sister than a couple hahahahahah
It's the whole...What could have been. I think most people have that special person that got away, due to the struggle of that moment in life where you may have been on different paths. Saw it tonight, great production, great story.
wow beyond my reach
"Is Daniel Chazelle here?" Such disrespect.
the guy who asked about the inauguration made everything so awkward
itd be nice if director would face a spanish-speaking journalist, asking question, when answering. people are so awkward around other people nowadays. i see it more and more just walking on the street. usa is truly a country full of isolated and lonely people.
Emma's reaction to the question at 1:38 was pretty much mine lol
"What's one got to do with the other?"
I'M SO HAPPY
They deserved even more
Some really dum questions asked! As for the 'modern era' question...people today need to be reminded of the importance of connection outside of social media and dating apps that too often we miss the simplicity of love and romance portrayed in bygone eras. Loved the movie.
Some of these questions were so stupid!
That movie is so impressed
Just realized Ryan would be a perfect James dean
the guy singing city of stars at the end 😂
People are attracted to this movie because they are tired on the action packed violence formula so widely used
Emma saw something that she did not like, and then Ryan 7:20
he's like "no messing around with my friend"
This movie is so great it will have you saying "AGAIN" over and over. There singing... again? There dancing... again? They're at Ryan Goslings apartment...again? I like the background flowers
Modern era question was absolutely terrifying.
I mean we all should of seen it coming. Film Theory predicted this and he was right
