Thank you! Such a simple, but lovely idea! I need a little caddy exactly like this for inside my vehicle between the seat and the clutch. This idea just perfect for what I need ... and I have all kinds and colors of felt and fabric to choose from. (How could anyone not like this video?)
Very nice and clean - Love it! This will DEFINITELY be on my to-do list. I can just imagine all of the beautiful combinations of colors and patterns that I can do with these. THANK YOU!
wow thanks once again Ashley for a brill video. I have been looking at doing some of these caddy boxes but have yet to do one. I have made a few bags before and cut off the corner squares before sewing and not got precise corners , so your tip of cutting them after is just such a good idea I will have to remember it. I have also looked at making these boxes but with stiffer sides when they insert cardboard in to make them more sturdy. Have you ever made these? would love to see a video on one if you have time.
I want to sew these baskets to put my charm cotton, layer cake and small square fabrics. Is the felt will stick to the fabric or is this better to use an another kind like cotton and bigger batting??
Great tutorial. Thank you for clear and precise directions. Please give the sizes of the other two baskets wuth the templates size for cutting out squares. I've watched the video several times and didn't hear the call out sizes. Thank you for your time and sharing with us.
that video was made a long time ago and i have no idea what sizes i used i generally just play about with fabric size and cut out corner size. the smaller the fabric the smaller i cut out the corners
Can you give me an idea of the size fabric you need for the green/black caddy? Also, the size squares you cut for the corners? Thanks! These are great!
Not being an experienced seamstress or quilter, I don't know about this sort of thing. Can you tell me, does the template size change for the larger caddy? and larger ones than that? I assume they do. Is there a formula for figuring out the correct measurement? (I'm thinking of making a few larger ones for my grandsons' nursery.
+Jane Aldrich Yes you can change them depending on what size you are making, have a look at the appliqué tot bag video you will see i used bigger box corners on that for the size of the bag. glad the video helped. Watch out for a new one coming soon.
I just made one 😊. I made it a little smaller and probably should have made the cutout a bit smaller too, so now I have a rectangular bottom instead of a square. Oh well, it still looks good. But now I've caught the bug and must make more 😍Here is a link to it on IG - instagram.com/p/BRuVJvDAGdW/ Thanks so much for these instructions. They were very clear and so easy to understand that I could follow along while watching!
+Summer H I suppose it depends on what size you want to make your box corners, add whatever that size is onto your 11 and maybe 1 inch for seam allowance and cut two at that and see if it works. so maybe 14x14?
Lovely to hear an English accent on a sewing tutorial. Very well explained, would enjoy seeing more sewing projects from you. Thanks!
Thank you, if you look in the "janome" playlist I do have other sewing videos. thank you.

No formula that I know of it just depends on how big you want your base.
Thanks
Do the box corners change in size with the size of the bag or do you just keep them the same ?
+Jane Aldrich Yes you can change them depending on what size you are making, have a look at the appliqué tot bag video you will see i used bigger box corners on that for the size of the bag. glad the video helped. Watch out for a new one coming soon.

if I wanted one to be 11 x 11 finished, what would the fabric dimensions need to be?
