- In todays video I'm out to do some black and white town photography with a fisheye lens. The fisheye creates some unique opportunities for very different images of buildings and other urban photography, but also a few challenges as well.
I hope you enjoy it

Loved your change of pace video this week. Fish eyes can be a lot of fun, especially with architecture. Perfect time of day for B&W.
Glad you liked it Gary. I do like the fisheye from time to time. Thank you for watching and commenting
Thanks again Ralph, it goes to show what you can do with just one lens.
Glad you liked it Will. Sometimes one lens is all you need (although I normally like a choice). Thank you for watching and commenting
Great video Ralph, really enjoyed the results of the fisheye. The capture that you were not sure worked well it worked for me beautiful image almost like a spaceship heading for the sun. Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed it John. That image of the building has grown on me a bit. I like your take on it. Thank you for watching and commenting
Good idea Ralph with the weather we are having at the moment and so far, not too wet here. Great idea with the Fisheye lens, love your second from last shot - like a rocket. Many thanks for sharing your work and don't get too wet :)
Glad you enjoyed it Shaun. Always trying to find different things to try. Thank you for watching and commenting
Brilliant Ralph, some interesting compositions you had and loved the images especially the tram images, look forward to what you have planned in your upcoming vlogs
Glad you enjoyed it Jim, Lots of interesting stuff to come later (I hope). Thank you for watching and commenting
I’ve recently gotten a fisheye and had difficulty taken pics in the streets, this video was a big help! 👍
I'm glad it proved useful Adrian. Have fun with the fisheye and thank you for watching and commenting
You have to move your feet a lot with a fisheye lens. ☺️
@@gdan8259 You certainly do Gary
Hi Ralph, great video this week, the images you took with the fisheye lens. All worked well, including the one off the round tower, going B/W was the right thing I think, looking forward to finding out more about the changes you’re got planned.
Glad you liked it Allen. Yes, I thought they were going to be all B&W and I think it was the right way to go. Thank you for watching and commenting
I would have gone F11 on the sun star above the building 😊
To be honest it could have been anywhere between f/8 and f/11. The lens has no electronics so aperture isn't recorded and the aperture ring has no stops so it's a bit of a guess what the aperture is unless it's wide open or closed all the way up. Thank you for watching and commenting
I can't get over the fact that when you are in town shooting there are never people around you getting in shot etc.
There are people about but try to find ways to avoid them. I also quite often doing these kind of shoots between 3 and 5 in the afternoon (siesta time). Thank you for watching and commenting
