2 year old video just popped up on my feed - I just picked up a 2024 identical to this one except I got the legendary 5.7 HEMI V8 - love it! Great video!
Good review video for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the Overland trim. This would be the trim level of choice for me along with getting the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. I'm not going to get the first year of this new generation though. I'll either get the second or third year of this new generation. I'll get the optional gloss black roof to make the appearance more appealing as well as the 20 inch rims shown in this video. I test drove an Overland trim before and it felt great. Nice ride quality and nice features. Opening the lift gate can be done in a variety of ways. One of the ways I wished was demonstrated in the video is the hands free way. As long as the key fob is with you just walk up to the vehicle, move your foot in a slight kicking motion under the middle portion of the bumper and that's it. The lift gate will open. The lift gate will also close the same way. This feature will be put to use for someone who has their hands full. This feature is on the three top tier trims Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. For the second model year 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L couple features found on the bigger luxury brother Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be on the Jeep Grand Cherokee L as well. The front passenger infotainment screen will be available and second row entertainment screens as well depending on trim level. Three new body color choices will also be available for the 2022 model year Jeep Grand Cherokee L as well depending on trim level.
You are absolutely correct on the rear liftgate. I totally didn't realize you could open it by kicking your foot under the rear bumper until I was cleaning it to give it back and did it by accident. Unfortunately at that point it was dark out and I had already put all the camera gear away.
@Mopar Insiders I'm glad Jeep included the hands free foot activated lift gate. Nice feature to have on a vehicle like this. I forgot to mention the names of the three new colors that will be optional on the second model year 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Those three colors will be Ember, Hydro Blue and Midnight Sky bringing the total exterior body color selection to nine. I assume Midnight Sky is a shade of navy blue, but I'm not 100% sure. If it is that will be my color choice. Those three colors Ember, Hydro Blue and Midnight Sky will be optional on the three top tier trims Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. The Limited trim will have those colors optional too, but with two of them though. Hydro Blue will not be optional on the Limited trim, but Ember and Midnight Sky will be.
We could not get the air suspension on the Overland we ordered . Its something I wanted I should have checked more then one dealer. The dealer we picked added dealer options $3000 I am trying to get our money back this was a dealer in Chehalis WA . Beware !
It is a little bland on the exterior but I agree with on the interior. Interior is awesome but that black piano looks cheap. I wonder difficult or easy it might be to remove and paint it. We can't change the plastic but at make it look better to match the interior. Thank for the video and your honest opinion and love the hit the dislike button twice comment 🤣🤣
