Went down to buy one today for my Daughter, have to wait 6-8 mos to get one ordered, it looks like a nice vehicle. Got the XLS gas awd in cyprus green w/macadamia interior - someone is very excited to get it
Hey Kelvin, thanks for pointing that out! I appreciate your feedback. I’ll make sure to use a title that better represents the content in the future. The goal was to inform potential buyers about issues, but I understand how the title might have set different expectations.
I bought a Corolla Cross Hybrid Atmos, and waited a year for it. I received it 23/10/23. My biggest problem has been the battery. It would not start at home three times and I had to call the RACQ each time. So far I have done 7600 klms. I have had a new battery installed and it has started each time since. I am getting 4.69 L/100 but most of that has been city driving. It is a good car to drive.
It seems someone switched this defective model and passed it on to you. The dealer did a bait and switch and swindled you. You deserve compensation though your vehicle was done under warranty. What a crummy world we sometimes live in.
We rented a Toyota Cross XLE for a couple of weeks while on holiday, and we put a lot of miles on that little car. I have to agree with some of the negatives mentioned in this presentation. First, the car is indeed an econobox with a cheaped-out noisy cabin. That's a given. Next, the CVT driving experience was unpleasant; that thing unwinds like a rubber band and drones horribly at speed. Last, and most important for us, the front seats were the most uncomfortable we have ever had in any car! We both suffered from back pain during and after a day in that car. Listen, if the driver and front seat passenger can't be comfortable in a car, all the good looks and features, great MPG, reliability, and resale value are meaningless.
The [estimated] MPG for the Corolla Cross mentioned is false. My 2023 Corolla Cross has been getting 42 MPG Highway going 70, and 34 mpg city. Where is this narrator getting his information from?
Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! It’s awesome that your 2023 Corolla Cross is getting such great mileage-42 MPG on the highway is impressive! The MPG figures I mentioned were based on EPA estimates for the standard and hybrid versions, but I realize that real-world results can vary depending on the iteration or specific configuration of the car.
@@anackonnagrp7284 Yes, Australia. Base model Corolla Cross is from AUD40,932, base model Yaris Cross is from AUD35,116. All hybrid. All passenger model Toyotas sold in Australia now are hybrid only. Non-hybrid only available in larger 4wd and commercial vehicles.
Non-hybrids took a serious knock at trade-in due the heavy discounts being offered on hybrid models........ BAD NEWS for non-hybrid owners. Got rid of my XS after 2-years/ 12 500km of ownership.

Seat heaters would be nice but I still like LE seats and I’m 6’2”. Rest is spot on . Funny that I was looking at car Noise dampener earlier. 62000 miles so far. “Warning” safety collision noise doesn’t work on low speeds. Don’t ask how I know lol . And automatic engine off is so F-ing annoying . Engine always turns off when you actually need to go and losing time to move, and the low power makes extremely dangerous going on hi roads sometimes

The "eCVT" transmission in hybrid Toyotas is not CVT as you know it. It's just a name (however badly chosen). There are no bands, chains, or pulleys. It has a planetary gearset similar to a conventional automatic transmission. It should last the life of the car.
I have just bought a Toyota Corola Cross Cruise Hybrid AWD 2024 and it's wonderful!
Had mine for 1 year, wonderfuel 🤩✨👏 drive Toyota for over 30 year. 2:29
2023 XLE and. I drive 5000 kms/month. Love it !
I have owned an XS Hybrid since November 2021. Not a single problem. LOVE IT!!
It was never meant to be a high performance vehicle. Who drives 150km/h anyway ??

What's "massive" about any of these problems? All minor issues that most drivers wouldn't even notice. Your video title is completely misleading!

I drive a 2023 corolla cross LE AWD. No problem at all!!! Sure it's not for everyone. But I love it!!

Which battery - I assume just the 12 volt.

I get my Corolla Cross gas 1 year ago and I'm driving in the city only. My best mpg is 41.1

Oh no I have a 2024 not my favorite at all, but I have plans to trade it, thanks for the video.❤ very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
"Toyota's least expensive crossover"? Have you never heard of the Yaris Cross? Thousands cheaper.
What is Yaris cross? At least we don’t have this in the us. This contents prob for us market
Where? Australia?
@@bagofcat Yes, probably. I am thinking of the Australian market.

what's the big deal of these problems ?? I would say the worst part is the use of CVT transmission

Are you an actual owner of a Toyota
I used to have a Camry, but now I have a CX-5. Looking at the Corolla Cross
Keep in mind that the CC hybrid does not have a spare tire.
Mine has. Looks like it depends on the market or trim level.
Driving 150km/h on the highway, the noise is unbearable. No thanks Toyota.
Lol no problems with my toy cross
Wow, what a bullshit

Hybrid is the only powertrain in Australia.
You by the Hybrid it’s a no brainer.Your title is very misleading
This should be named as the RAV-3
Asia has all the New Styles... cooler front end and Yaris suv honda Hrv hybrid
The Cross Hybrid in North America looks good too with the Lexus RX like front.
@Flying-Fox19 congrats.. but the usa model same as last year.. i was just in Thailand, the platform for Cross is different and so us the front design

Car makers listen up !! Especially Toyota, quit making CVT transmissions ! They drive like crap and don't hold up for the life of the vehicle.
The eCVT is actually very good and reliable.
