The Patriots are playing for nothing. They’re out of it. They should BE protecting Maye he’s the future . There is no sense to run him and take a chance on him getting injured. He should finish out the season bc he needs the reps and the experience is good for him but he should in no way be playing hero ball, it’s not the playoffs. And yes fire Mayo and bring in Vrabs and Josh in here, I have been saying that for weeks!
If Vrabel is really interested then pull the trigger, but Josh McDaniles Air Coryell offense is not designed to maximize the strengths of Drake Maye! That offense is a quick game spread more for deception QB under center power run base format. Drake Maye is a Pistol/Shotgun QB! He’s not Tom Brady, or a QB of yesteryear! Modern QB needs a modern system! Go get Charlie Weiss’s son, who is Ole Miss’s OC! THAT is a modern offense that can maximize Drake Maye’s strengths!
Nobody saying to run him every play but a read option or qb draw to pick up a critical first down you fcking call it. What message are you sending to the other players?

H3 does nothing on his side of the ball, doesn't know what to do on offense, he's scared of making decisions on the field, the team doesn't look better or has an identity after 14 games. It's mediocrity all around and you guys still defending him. Ben Johnson and Mike Vrabel are available. This team needs to get rid of everyone that worked under BB and start the new era with new blood. Bring Ben Johnson, who was part of the biggest and best rebuild in the NFL and is an offensive mastermind or even Vrabel if you want someone with a history with the team, he's a culture changer. This is not a Head coaching school or coordinator school. Ben Johnson or any other other coordinator has coached a side of the ball and know what to do in a game. Mayo was a positions coach that was given a co-defensive coordinator title, but never called plays.
I don’t get what people actually expected from this team this season. Maye is the future. Makes no sense to be upset at a coaching staff that’s working with the least talented roster in the NFL thanks to Kraft. I want them to lose the last 3 games so they can get the best pick. Firing a coach every year is what dysfunctional franchises do (see bears & giants, jets)

McDaniels whether he called plays or not was learning as a position coach for how long? I haven’t heard he’s only been coaching for 5 to 7 years. He was obviously ready to be head coach by what you see on the field and his decision making. John harbaugh wasn’t an Oc or dc he was a special teams coach. Point is this is definitely krafts fault but he needs to correct this huge mistake

Yes and they should be, 6 weeks out of concussion protocol and with an O-Line thats the worst in all of football...please protect Drake Maye.
