I have the same year cr250r and never had any problems with it. Never rebuild the engine all original from factory I ride the bike every day. I never even had to change the spark plug. Best bike ever.

I have the same year, but I threw in the cr500 engine with no y piece change. Perfectly balanced great tool

@@petemolnar6073 Too rich I’d say, my KDX200 never fouled a plug, no ‘spooge’ out the exhaust either. Too bad the dumb crank seals went out on it. Gotta fix that bike.

Another beautifùl classic vintage MX Dirtbike, with more gorgeous graphics. Christie's graphics look much better then the factory graphics that come on these bikes, when they're sold. These 250's have more than enough power for me. I couldn't even imagine riding a 500cc 2 stroke MX Dirtbike! ML&R.

how do theese rc valve engines compare to the 99-01 power wise?
Raced both back in the day -- compared to the 01, the post 02 case reed/RC valve engines felt kinda lazy down low and built up power in the middle. Didn't feel as fast. On the dyno, they put out a ton of power but it didn't feel that way on the track. The 02 frame and suspension was superior, though. This bike has the mods that were done back then to try and wake it up with the reeds and carb.
I had a 99, and an 05. Stock the 99 engine was better, but after putting v force reads fmf pipe and a jetting kit in the carb the 05 was amazing best bike I ever had.
