SAMS ARCADE FIX- Part 1- Atari Asteroids Board Sound Problem- Lets Fix It
10 months ago, I discovered my Asteroids Multi Game had developed sound issues. I decided it was time to fix the sound problems, so this video is Part one of a two-part series. All of the sounds were drifting in and out except the explosions which were making a buzz and pops, and the thrust sound was completely missing. By the time I got out the video camera to show the problem, the sounds that were drifting in and out were working again. It turns out one of the op-amps was bad so replacing it fixed that part of the sound problem. I will tackle the explosion and thrust sounds in Part Two.
