Wtf how does the amount of redstone block layers alter the height of the note?

I have a distance sensor and depending on the height it sends out a redstone signal from 9-15

@FoochieA fucking genius, now multilayer it and microscale to make room for more music. You can practice with Bachs 2 voice (2 part it's called in english i think, im not sure, I'm russian) inventions, only 2 independent musical tracks, you can like section parts of it, it'll still kinda make sense. Please, dude, I AM waiting.

I’m not really into all of that as that would be cool I just wanted to show the concept and show how it’s done I’m not really into music theory

I wonder if you can create something similar in vanilla using pistons to rotate the blocks in a square shape, that could be fascinating to test around

i mean you can. It would be a huge pain in the a** but you could definitely use piston feedtapes to create a song. Not a great method though. it would be slow, extremely bulky, the timing on the machine would be really slow unless you overcomplicated things with 0 tick pistons, and youd have to listen to the annoying sound of pistons firing over each other. Its so extra and over the top that you might as well just use the normal method
