Heard this song the other day at my resort in Las Vegas. I've known it for years, but I rediscovered it while laying at the pool. So many means this song could have; meeting someone special on your vacation, someone soon to pass from a terminal illness, someone moving far away for a career. Ugh, this song is wonderful and has a hidden sadness to it!!
Definitely a hidden sadness masked by the upbeat melody and rhythm…EagleEye himself explained the song meaning in an interview, saying “it’s a warning against having TOO much fun and the price that comes with it afterwards” which blew my mind honestly cuz I interpreted the lyrics as just the opposite 😮 on the surface it sounds like a YOLO anthem of the 90s…eat, drink & be merry by candlelight, etc. for tomorrow we may die. Does tonight represent choices we make now and tomorrow/the break of dawn the consequences thereof? Is he saying save as opposed to SPEND to show we need to re-evaluate our natural inclinations towards living in the moment too much? This song is so simple but deep at the same time and could be the subject of a damn dissertation 🤓
Las Vegas a year ago? dude, I must have been at that same pool because that's where I heard it with my girlfriend at the Bellagio while we were at the pool, she never heard the song and absolutely loved it, I couldn't remember the name of the band, but god, I remember this so hard
Yeah, but everyone wore clothes with weird color patterns. It was like walking McDonald's play house everywhere and all the adults seemed to be transitioning their hair styles from 80s to some way more calmer less curly looking poodle shit
Been trying to identify this tune that stayed in my brain since it first came out! Today I found it! Something about that chorus - same thing that initially grabbed the writer. Love it! Thanks !
I was born in 1995, so my earliest memories were 1999. I remember going to my Uncle’s new house with my parents. They had just closed on it, and didn’t even have power on. My parents brought them like 10 candles to set around the house. They also brought a portable boom box. They tuned up the local rock station, and this was playing. My cousin had just been born. About six months later, my uncle went to prison. Didn’t see him again until I was fifteen.
‘This’ is definitely an interesting memory 😐😐😐😂… I was born in ‘71, and believe me I have more than my share… along with songs that remind me of those more ‘innocent’ times👍👍👍

It definitely tugs on the heartstrings... I hadn't heard it before but listening now its like a sentimental favorite... everyone can relate to the overall message... save tonight, tomorrow I'll be gone...
Reminds me of the bus ride to school. i'm gonna be 37. i just drunkenly karaoke'd this at 5:30 am in my apt. my neighbors love me. OLP is next, then Maiden.
I'm in my mid 20s now and whenever I listen to this song I'm always brought back to the times of being a little kid hearing this song in my mom's Isuzu Rodeo in the back seat.

This was the first song I heard the day that my grandpa died last year, and I now associate it with him. Oddly enough, I heard it 3 times on that same day in 3 different places.
He is by your side and that day the universe channeled him to you. Everything was just right for the vail to shift out of place and him be able to visit for a bit
Heard this song about 15-18 years ago during a car ride. Spent the last 15 years searching for it only knowing the first part of the song and just the melody of the chorus. Found it in 2017/2018 and was not disappointed. Made me feel accomplished and I felt like I did the first time I heard it.
I remember my Aunt playing this, while we were having a bonfire. Since then, every time I hear this song, that's what I think of. That was the night I heard this song for the first time in a long time!
Love this song. I didn't realize that it is already eight years old. I just heard it on the radio last September. Better late than never. This one is a solid burner!!!
I was born in 99 and my parents always used to listen to this kind of music so I have lots of memories with this stuff. Looking back it must have been a great time. People socialised without burying their face in a phone constantly, parents weren't so protective of their kids, the world was open to experience. I'm jealous.

After a year in our school we'll go away from each other but it's so hard cause when I love my people I love them with my whole heart and it's breaking me that I will not see him every day. I heard this a lot on the radio when I was around preschool age when it just came out. I didn't know any English back then (my third language), but I imitated what the English sounded like without understanding it and sang along. I only recently, 25+ years later, stumbled upon this song and immediately went OMG I REMEMBER THIS! 💡🎵 (And this time around I can actually understand what it is about ☺)
yes the 90s music was so damn great its awesome wish the music nowadays was like it used to be everything used to be so much better in life than it is now
See, melancholy songs like this really hit me where it hurts man. I'm a sucker for well written sad songs and yet this song's got an up-beat pace it's lyrics I find quite depressing. Man the 90's are easily the most underrated decade in music hands down. I have an extremely eclectic taste so I can judge just bout any rock band on their own merits an so that's why I still feel that the 60's and 70's were the best, but 90's are next. Being a recovering addict - songs like this really speak to me.
I needed some good music today, I went through a break up and I heard this song in the car yesterday, this and an assortment of different songs help me a little bit

If I could break a door
One love for the 90s :)

Say goodnight
It’s time to break our door
Still loving this song in 2019❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s even better in 2024
I heard this a lot on the radio when I was around preschool age when it just came out. I didn't know any English back then (my third language), but I imitated what the English sounded like without understanding it and sang along. I only recently, 25+ years later, stumbled upon this song and immediately went OMG I REMEMBER THIS! 💡🎵 (And this time around I can actually understand what it is about ☺)
Habe es heute im Radio gehört, herrlich 🤗🧡
We need this type of positive, energizing, refreshing music in this difficult life that we're living, for some few moments of mood lifting
I haven't heard this song for years.
One of the best songs ever written
I remember singing this in music classes. Man we had an awesome teacher ;)
Thank you ONE DAY for reminding of this song 🎶
I love those opening chords.
Good music manages to capture just one moment, and describe it in detail.
Save Tonight though......🌃🎆🙂
This song is timeless 😍
yes the 90s music was so damn great its awesome wish the music nowadays was like it used to be everything used to be so much better in life than it is now
Haha! I just randomly remembered this song. It played on my senior prom night back in 2006. :) Good memories..
Spent 15 years thinking it was 'Stay Tonight'
Should be...
My whole life I thought it was
SeaJayBelfast Thought it was "Sway tonight" =(

SeaJayBelfast I thought it was stay tonight too
This is such a bittersweet song. I feel sad but oddly happy whenever I hear it.
This song was the first gig my band played in town a little while ago
This was over 15 years ago. Gotdamn I'm getting old. Great tune. Thanks for the upload.

Being a recovering addict - songs like this really speak to me.
beautiful song.. smooth. Reminds me of some interesting but far from my best times. I think I learned from those experiences though
Great playlist! This is the music I grew up to, and I still love it! :)
Haven't heard this song in years when it just popped into my head on a road trip. Damn I miss good music like this... 90s...come back!!
I needed some good music today, I went through a break up and I heard this song in the car yesterday, this and an assortment of different songs help me a little bit
I've always liked this song, but it's has become more meaningful to me as time goes on
Still on jamming to this Nov 2019.. Whos with me? ✌🏾😜
shave tonight, lets get that beard all gone, tooo much stubble
When I was a little kid, I first heard this song and thought he said "Tomorrow I'll be dust." I thought the song was about a vampire who made a human friend but couldn't stay and had to die at sunrise.
