    The trills from 2:43 to 2:46 sounded perfect. And right before it, at 2:43, it almost sounded like there were two violins being played at once. You know someone's good when they start sounding like more than one person playing the same instrument. It's like hearing four hands on a piano when there's only one person playing it.

    Incredible. Anyone who's ever picked up a violin or a guitar and tried to get a note out of them knows how exceptionally talented (and practised) both of these performers are... and anyone who comes from the age of 1980s video gaming can't fail to instantly recognise and love the tune! Amazing stuff - thank you for a wonderful upload. Bravo.

      That, and the fact that there are rarely any Tetris players besides the current ones that developed during the age when it first came out... And if not too many people played Tetris, and didn't watch Tetris related videos, it would be very obvious why this wouldn't appear. (Remember: (crappy) Recommendation System. That's all.)

      Korobeiniki

    • @blacxthornE
      @blacxthornE 9 лет назад +7

      Yes, everybody knows that. It was used in Tetris, which is also Russian (and "classic", in fact) and this song is famous because of that. So calling it the theme from Tetris is still accurate, and does not necessarily imply originality of the soundtrack.

    • @sunnyokapi
      @sunnyokapi 9 лет назад +1

      Ersen Akçay It is famous _outside_ of _Slavic_ countries because of the game. It was famous within them before as it was a common folk song throughout.

    • @blacxthornE
      @blacxthornE 9 лет назад +1

      So? This *is* outside of Slavic countries.
      And again, everybody knows it's a folk song. But when people are going to search for it, they will search for "Tetris music" or "Tetris theme", not "that one Russian folk song".
      You can call things by different names as long as it's clear what you mean. No one is saying it's an *original* soundtrack. But it is a soundtrack nonetheless.

    • @sunnyokapi
      @sunnyokapi 9 лет назад +1

      Ersen Akçay I understand. All I am saying is that your statement "this song is famous because of that" is not entirely true.

      It's funny that pretty much EVERYONE knows this as the Tetris Theme.
      "It was very embarrassing for me: when kids of the world hear these pieces of music, they start screaming: "Tetris! Tetris!" That's not very good for Russian culture." - Tetris Creator Alexey Pajitnov

    • @CZghost
      @CZghost 7 лет назад +5

      Korobeiniki. It's Russian national traditional tune and since Tetris is originally Russian game, developers decided to use Korobeiniki as a theme tune for Tetris.

    Reminds me of when the lead guitar player in a band thinks his guitar solo is so important that he steps on a boost pedal, unplugs the rhythm guitarist's instrument, & practices his scales for 16 bars. Impresses the hell out of himself & no one else.

      It is like in jazz: they play the theme at the beginning then the guy with the guitar plays the same chords than in the theme so we have the melody "in the ear" while the violonist improvises on it, like it is said in the description.
      By the way, GG guys! ^^
