I haven't played yugioh since xyz and it's like trying to learn another language now. I spent like $30 on master duel and got overwhelmed trying to make a deck. Any advice to get back into and learn new combos. I'm trying to built a Gaia blue eyes/dragon deck
@@rex2g4 I mean. You don’t run the original of course as it only lets you tribute 1 monster and skips your BP. And you don’t run soul crossing because it’s generally just a very bad card locking you out of the rest of the turn. This card is much better as not only can it be searched from Thrust. It doesn’t lock you at all. Unlike soul crossing and original soul exchange does. You just run this card and none of the others!! Sure it’s a bricky card, but what card that you’re using to summon a god card isn’t some kind of brick or garnet in the wrong situation? Me personally when it comes to normal* spells, I run most of them at 1 and rely on thrust as it seems to be glued to my hand. And if I’m banking on soul exchange I’m banking on blindly going second anyways. I see no downside to running this card over the alternatives. *stupid autocorrect.
Edit: Funny I thought this before I got to Sam saying that in the video. Spell Card: Monster Reborn I see it as a counter to Called by the Grave....maybe? Assuming you can play it after called by. So now the target doesn't get banished. I mean you don't get the monster effect but you got a body on the field at least.
It says you can't activate its effect not that it's negated so maybe after u activate let's say a maxx c then called by then chain reborn it shouldn't stop it from resolving
And it also can turn off the effect of multiple copies of that same monster for your opponent so you can even use it to turn off handtraps if they other copies were used in a previous turn and even if you use the stolen monster as a material and give it back to their GY and that monster has a GY effect then your opponent wont be able to use it

Correct if I’m missing something but ANOTHER use of SPMR is that you shut down any hand trap that hits the grave either by discarding or being used. If you ash’d your opponents maxx C and revive it, you can’t be ash’d. If you discard a nibiru and reborn it, you can’t be nibiru that turn anymore

Posting this before watching the video but Sam said if somebody called by your max c you can use the monster reborn to bring it back but wouldn’t max c still be negated because of the effect of the spell card monster reborn? 😂😅
