I can’t take it anymore. My whole life like this, ten years of working life and every month my period is a bitch! Every month I’m in absolute pain and horrible migraines. I don’t know what to do. I am constantly in pain. Nothing I do changes it. My bosses have never been sympathetic. I have to force myself to work even though I feel like a dying walrus.

Please see a doctor there are medications that can help you. There's several types of medications I think there's preventive and then there's medications that you can take as needed and then also injections I believe. I know what you're experiencing and I don't get them as often as it seems you are but I hate to hear another woman suffering like this

If it makes you feel any better, many of us are struggling through the same. I completely understand how its not easy to endure the same excruciating pain every month for 2-3 days where you want to end everything and loathe your sick self. You've come so far, don't lose hope. Eventually, after menopause or maybe sometimes before it'll end.

I got bad migraines and started writing down the days I got them. And they always ended up on the week of my period. It’s crazy how bad they get. I would have to lay in bed for almost a whole day once a month due to how bad they got. The throbbing and nausea is the worst! Nothing works for me; I just have to ride it out.

Women experiencing these type migraine should anticipate increased migraine frequency beginning with peri-menopause, during/after menopause. I had chronic/almost daily debilitating migraine for 10 years before I connected the dots at age 57, when I began wearing a low dose estrogen patch. Migraine frequency was reduced by approximately 40%.

it has only just clicked with me as well at age 23 but im glad i know what it is now. I recognised the pattern, then the methods i use to eliviate them (eating something, cold head patch, ibuprofen) and i am very certain i have menstrual migranes now. Sadly, my local doctors are pretty bad at actually helping and usually just chuck a leaflet at me with advice so I'm going to see if i can find better help if i can

Progesterone is the buffer of the rise and gal of estrogen though right? So isn’t it a progesterone issue? But if daily you can do liver work for help long hormones and there’s foods and herbs that will help with different hormones.

@@strawberryme08 Migraine is no longer a companion in my life after using a monthly CGRP medication developed 5 years ago. I began using a low dose estradiol patch before the CGRP preventative was developed, and the patch helped lower daily migraine by approximately 40%. But, if I could go back in time, I might advise myself to not use ANY HRT at all. OR, anything that promotes continuation or elevation of any hormone. Why? Two surgeries for breast cancer in the last two months for cancer found to be estrogen and progesterone positive (rapid cancer growth receptive to and feeding off these hormones).
