- Don't buy a saturation plugin until you’ve seen klanghelm’s SDRR
SDRR was built to satisfy almost all of your saturation desires. It provides a comprehensive set of controls to manipulate the character of the saturation to make it fit exactly. SDRR offers four different main modes: TUBE, DIGI, FUZZ, DESK and reacts dynamically to the input signal.

Klanghelm fan here. This one is a must have.
Wow there are lots of Klanghelm fans, it’s good to see. I love their products, I sometimes think they are such a slept on company. Good to hear from you my friend, from one fan to another.
This is a great plugin. I have all the Klanghelm plugins. The DC8C & VUMT are indispensable for me. Great walkthrough. Subbed 😉👍
I agree, it’s a great plugin, glad you like the video. Thanks for the sub, much appreciated 😀👍🏾
honestly I love all hit stuff bought all of it. TBTH I don't really use the DC8C though too much of a hassle.
That soundkandy intro is delcious! Thank you for not making it like a minute long like some channels on YT!! I appreciate you jumping right in!
Hey bro, thanks for your comment, much appreciated. Yeah I guess I could have shaved off a little bit of the talking but I’ll take your word for it. Trust me bro I was also one of those who talked too much but I listened to the feedback from you guys and have made a conscious decision to keep the chatter to a minimum because people simply want to “hear” what the plugin sounds like not my voice…
But thank you very much, I intend to keep the “small talk” small.
Thanks for your support and feedback bro.
this is the perfect combination with decapitator IMO. Decap for the quick throw it on and forget about it, always use SDRR if I need a more specific or dual mono saturation
Totally agree, these plugs are well placed for both, usability and price.. Absolutely great products… Thanks for your comment bro, much appreciated…
Great piece of kit and by FAR my favourite piece of demo-ing music! 😎
Yeah it’s a really nice plugin. The demo music was not one of my best, it was very quick to produce, not sure what I didn’t like about it. Nevertheless I’m pleased you like it. Thanks for your comment and support bro, much appreciated 👍🏾
I love the beat you are using in the background
Lol, thanks bro, much appreciated, thanks for taking the time to watch the vid and comment.
Just bought this, thanks. Also oh my what a track, such a bop LOL!
Glad you like the plugin bro, glad you like the track also lol, all music on my channel is created by me. Thanks for your comment.
wow realy good...how it will work in cinematic music? I think I need this vst
I’m gonna buy this. Also, that beat is amazing
Yeah it’s a nice plug. I should mention I’m not being sponsored by these guys not do I get any free plugins from them, just thought I’d mention that just in case people think I’m working with them. That said I do like their stuff and I’m happy to say well done to them for this plug. Glad you like ti Chad. Please let me know what you think of it when you use it in your production and when you’ve had a while to play with it..
PS: glad you like the track, just something quick to demo this plugin.. 👍🏽
what is it please?@@SoundkandyStudio
Beat sounds awesome! Plugin is nice too
Thanks for your support bro, much appreciated, please feel free to sub… 👍🏾
very nice video, i didont understand all of it but i"m practicising on martin Garrix plugins and i like it very much
It’s a great plugin, just keep playing with it, it will all all become clear. Just remember you don’t have to use all its feature… Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. 👍🏾
nice vid bud, big Klanghelm fan here too!
Thanks bro, I’m a big fan too, love their plugs. Thanks for your comment, much appreciated….
@@SoundkandyStudio yeah, love his whole business approach too, that sdrr 'desk' on the mix buss is a real treat!
@@realhomestudioofficial Totally agree, I guess lots of the smaller audio dev companies have a good approach to business as they are able to react to user feedback quickly. Yeah the SDRR on the mix buss it a great idea bro.
SoundKlangky Studio I like what you showed us.
Thank you brother, much appreciated 👍🏾 Thanks for your comment and support.
Sorry if this is a noob question, but is this plug in men to be on the master track to compress as a whole?
It’s entirely up to you bro, as you know there are no real rules in music production. Personally I use it in both instances, try it yourself and see how it sounds, both, as a “in-line” plugin and on the master buss see which you like best… 👍🏾
Wonder how this compares to the black box saturation plugin 🤔🤔
That’s a great question, perhaps I’ll do a “shoot out” between them both. But you know how it goes, everyone has their own taste so it never will be fair. But great point.
omggggggooodness..... yeah i'll get it lol
That Dual mono is Amazing!
Lol, glad you like it, it’s a great plug, been using it for a while and absolutely love it… Thanks for your comment bro, much appreciated.
Great video and great plugin👍
Glad you like it! If you get a chance go check it out, it has a demo, I'd be glad to hear your thought :-)
Hey there. Great video! Does this plugin have sort of a Sidechain filter for the wet signal? Or is the bass has to be always included in the processing?
No, there is no sidechain feature, well, not native anyway. You can alway achieve this in your DAW. However there is a wet/dry mix encoder located in the “upper middle” of the VU meter. Defo download a copy of the demo and try it on your track. Sometimes RUclips and my personal taste in music may not do the product justice. Let me know what you think bro… Thanks fo you comment.
@@SoundkandyStudio to be honest i own every klanghelm plugin cause i like their philosophy but i havent used them in a while and was too lame to check and hoped they added it. i am aware i can create parallel chains in a daw but i much prefer if its integrated in the plugin A) cause of the illusion i have that it might work better B) cause a self created chain opens a new window of doing something wrong. ALso depends what eq you use to highpass, at what frequency, what phase shift may occur , etc etc . My gut tells me that i prefer integrated solutions where the circuit is interacting with its own SC filter natively. But i am no expert tbh
@@saardean4481 I totally agree with your comments with regards to sidechain, and illusions of working better if integrated. I only mentioned it because some people who are new to music production may not know it is possible to do natively. In addition some people also have very complicated configs and routings and require a more holistic approach.
I’m with you buddy, I’m no expert on these matters. There is no right or wrong way to make music, there is just “good practice” and methodology.
@@SoundkandyStudio amen brother. amen!
Love it, great video 👏🏾
Thank you!! :-)
Lovely track can i consider this hip hop
Thank you, yes, I guess this would be classified as hip hop. Thanks for you comment and taking the time to watch the video. Much appreciated.
Why is this beat so fucking fire
Lol 😂 I have no idea bro but I’m glad you like it 😆
90s vibe
Very 80sh saturation loving it
That’s very true, it’s got a wonderful tone, it’s a really great sounding plugin. Thanks for your comment.
This is a classic plugin I remember doing a video on the free one years ago. Maybe the paid version is amazing
Oh great, did you ever get round to buying the full version? Thanks for you comment bro.
All great stuff from klanghelm. (Where is the EQ? You can bet if will be inexpensive and a top performer.) .As for SDRR it’s great for a lot of things. Vocals. Kicks, synth bass, etc.
Thanks bro, very true. Thnks for the feedback and comment. Much appreciated.
*why do you sound like RUSS from that PROTOOLS EXPERT channel, with your voice affected?*
Lol, Have no idea why you think I sounds like Russ. No sure where you’re from in the world but I’m guessing it’s the USA. Perhaps all Brits sound alike, but I’m defo not Russ, trust me on that. 😂😂😂
*This plugin is awesome, only issue is that it ads latency! if they could get around that, then its really on.*
Hopefully an update will sort this issues, I have the same problem on my 2012 Mac Pro. Thanks for your comment bro… 👍🏾
But this is still 🔥 one of the best mix bus saturation plugins because you choose how much to add it
Doesn't high jack the gain of the song
I use it and it's damm good on everything
Oh great, glad you like it, thanks for the feedback bro 👍🏾
does it support oversampling?
Great question. Quick answer, no. thanks for your comment Ian…👍🏾
Yes. "HQ" = oversampling
I'll do my best to listen to an English for that long ;) butcan ou tell please what have ou done with or voice to sound like this ? its almost like presets fr hee voice in Nectar but i believe you've used smth else . Thanks.
@marie Hi, are you referring to my voice or the voices in the music? If you talking about “my” voice I’ve done nothing 😂 regarding the voices in the track they are samples and again, I have done nothing to them either. Hope this helps to clear thing’s up. Thank you for your comment.
@@SoundkandyStudio yes, your voice :( i belive you have some preferences for the compression, EQ, ;) YOU MUST
@@art_video_design I have a noise suppression, Waves NS1 to remove background noise such AC, but nothing else. Is that what you’re referring to?
@@SoundkandyStudio yes, dear, secretelynoname agent of Soundkandy. I'll try those settings via day and check if it is the answer that I mean ;) hvancday
@@art_video_design I didn’t realise that you were trying to achieve the effect. If you’re having problems with vocals feel free to email me, my details are in the “about” tab. Let me know how you get on..
Is there a preset for K Metering?
Unfortunately not, this plugin concentrates on saturation rather than loudness, hence the following K-system; K-12, K-14 and K-20 are not present in this plug. Nevertheless it’s a good question. What are you currently using for saturation?
@@SoundkandyStudio Hi - I have been using Waves Abbey Road Saturator, URS Saturation or Softube. I'll look at the Klanghelm now that I know it's available. As a result of the excellent video you did on their VUMT Deluxe I purchased it. I'm extremely pleased with it and especially Tony F for his after-purchase support.
@@MixMasterRick Wow, you have lots of saturators 😀 really glad you like the plugin, klanghelm is very underrated and I do really love their stuff.. Really happy to see your shout out, it’s great when we can say a big thank you to those who work tirelessly to bring us great product and fantastic service. One more happy customer.
Before anyone asks I’m not being paid or sponsored by these companies, I just like good products and service and I think it should be celebrated. 😀 Thanks for your comment...
Klanghelm is based in Germany they probably should be pronounced Klang---helm, not Klan--ghelm, just saying :)
lol, I never was any good at German bro, thanks for the correction 😂 As they say “every day is a school day”.
Plus, don’t try to make my job harder, I can just about speak English 😂😂😂😂
@@SoundkandyStudio Klang means sound, musical tone or resonance in German. Clang exists in English though. Common Germanic linguistic heritage. It's an onomatopoetic word - a word formed in imitation of a natural sound. In this case a metallic resonance, like hitting a lamppost with a cricket bat. "CLANG!". In Danish klang is used both in the music related sense, and the onomatopoeic sense.

I’m impressed….!!! Now you’re just showing off bro 😂😂😂 thank you for the education, much appreciated, I learn something new everyday. Thanks again brother… 👍🏾
wow
Wow, indeed. Thanks for your comment bro....
this beat, tho...!
Just a quick track I made for the video, unfortunately I really don’t save the tracks. I’ve been asked about theses tracks, perhaps I’ll save them from now on and stick the on SoundCloud or something..
YYBY stamp this
BOOOOOM 👊🏿
in my opinion you're demonstrating too subtle changes. I get that's how it's done right, but this is a demo. I'd appreciate extremes to push through yt compression. Thanks regardless
Point well made, perhaps I’ll do that next time, it is good to push the plugins however I’m not sure it will make a huge difference given that YT will reduce the loudness, but I do take your point. Thanks for your feedback. Feel free to send me a before and after demo of how you are using this plug.
decapitator does not even come close
I totally agree bro… Thanks for your comment and support.
lol these video titles
Great, aren’t they…? It got you here, you’ve even left a comment, my work here is done 😂
Thanks for the comment…👍🏾
You talk to much bro.....I came to hear the plugin..but you are still talking. Jeez bro......hit the play button already
Thanks for the comment, yep, I’ve been told this before. Noted.
You guys like free cheap stuff and that why your sounds is cracky
Who are “you guys”? I’m not sure who you are referring to, perhaps you know someone here, if so, please direct your comments to them directly. I know you can’t be referring to me, I don’t know you, and I’m sure you don’t know me.
@@SoundkandyStudio I bet this guy is using waves only lol
@@joost3783 Waves…? Not sure he even has those plugs… lol
@@SoundkandyStudio ok I digress - Cracked Waves Platinum.
