Drusilla is my favorite character. I can’t see her as a villain. Angel stalked her, killed her family, drove her insane, and turned her into a vampire but had the audacity to call her crazy. No shit.
Joss and the rest of the buffy writing team always said Juliet found sense in all of Dru's demented speech patterns, even when they couldn't. A very cool approach to playing a deranged character. Spike and Dru will always be the definitive Vampire couple
Dru: I'll give you a seed if you sing for me. Spike: The bird's dead, Dru! You left it in a cage, you didn't feed it and now it's all dead just like the last one.

(There is one, [wannabe +) but the insanity factor just misses the mark, which is vital to the effects). She is by far my favorite character and I’ve rewound her scenes hundreds and hundreds of times just to hear that amazing voice. There will never be another outstanding character of her [Drusilla] stature because her abilities reach so much further than just the fantastic actor [Juliet Landau] she is.
And her favorite scene of mine was in "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" when she fell under the love spell and roughed up Angelus when he was attacking Xander and said "Don't fret, kitten. Mommy's here." HAHAHAHAHAA
I met James at the Cleveland Vulkon-con back in 2002 or 2003. You're right, he's such a great guy. I've met several of the cast members actually, and let me tell ya - they truly love their fans. I met Anthony Stewart Head the following year. He was talking to a group of fans and was getting ready to leave when me and my (ex)wife showed up. Before he even saw us, he told them he was leaving and my ex just gasps "Aww." He looked her right in the face and gasps back "Aww." He stood there and talked to us alone for ten minutes. That was an awesome weekend because I met Nicholas Brendan (Xander was my favorite), and not only met Robia LaMorte and Marcedes McNab (they walked right up to our table and were so happy to meet us), but got a big hug from both of them. Yeah, you heard me. I got a hug from Miss Calendar and was flirted to by Harmony.

Zach Kabia she stays in good shape but she is aging I think she still looks good though maybe she's not well and not eating enough she looks thinner here I hope she is well though
I'll always love rewatching the show for her. Her performance fascinates me, mostly how Dru can put love in the worst move and intention as a vampire. She's the only one I know to kill with love, to hate with love, to intent to eat someone with love 😍 Truly hilarious and amazing at the same time. I just want to hug her.
Juliet Landau is daughter of Martin Landau and Barbara Baines: she has american nationality but was born in the UK where she grew up and lived until she was 18 years old which was the age when she finally moved to the USA thus the reason why she has a sort of british accent mixed with the american one from her parents!
Juliet Landau, daughter of the great Martin Landau, does a perfect job as Drusilla. She seems like a deadly vampire. Not that I have ever met one. But Drusilla is terrifying. Nice interview. When Drusilla speaks in her role it is perfect. She is lovely. Nice interview.
Bravo Juliet Landau brain power in a beauty and then understanding of how through literature and drama one can use parallel reality to explore the depths of The Human Condition, mindsets, emotion , and motivations
I just realized her father (Martin Landau) played Bela Lugosi playing Dracula in "Ed Wood" and then she played Drusilla just a few years later. I've known they were father/daughter for years but that connection just occurred to me.
Her American accent was the fake. She mostly grew up in England. She was 9 or 10 when her parents moved over there to do Space 1999 and she stayed and studied there until 18.

She lived in the UK until she was 18. I moved from the UK to Canada when I was 23, and my accent changes depending on who I'm talking too as well, it's very bizarre... I think it's the brain trying to compensate so you don't stand out.
