New Idea 324 Corn Picker First Start

New Idea 324 corn picker with 327 husking bed, attached to a 20 hp John Deere 750. This machine sat for 3-4 years so was a bit stuck, but we freed it up and got it spinning. Ready for fall 2023 popcorn harvest.

The 324 gathering unit was set @ 40 inches and was designed for 36 to 44 inch rows. the 325 unit was set @ 32 inches and was meant for 28 to 36 inch rows. Many years ago I picked hundreds of acres every Fall with a 325/327 12 roll husking bed NI picker. I wore a new one completely out. Make certain to grease the gathering chain gear boxes or the bearings will fail quickly.
