This is so cool! I've got the Pluto Trigger kit + the water valve kit, and I've had fun playing around with water drops, but this gives me some great ideas for using the laser too. Thanks for making and sharing this guide!

I use Yongnuo YN-560 IV flashes and a Yongnuo 560 TX-II trigger. The trigger plugs into the Pluto trigger. I had to add a PC sync adapter to the bottom of the trigger. The sync of the flashes is always dead on.

Using the trigger to fire the flashes is far faster than fireing the camera, there a little delay on the camera firing, not sure why.

This is a good demonstration with everything explained well. I see that you worked around the camera trigger situation by simply having a long exposure. I am trying to figure out how to cause the Pluto to trigger the camera and a wireless flash trigger at the same time. Any ideas are welcome.

i can not think of a way currently, apart from triggering the flashes through the camera, ie, pluto to fire the camera which fires the flashes through remotes

The other thing you can do, instead of trying to trigger two flashes with a cable, use one with a cable and out the other in slave mode. Works well for water drops too.

i did have trouble with one of my flashes in slave mode, not working to time, so working with cables removed any issues. But it is an option
