You can easily fix most dead reeds. Just open them up and and increase the gap a bit. That's usually all they need.

Easily? Have you ever actually done it? Sometimes it works great, other times, no matter what you do, you can't get it to work. And it can turn into a frustrating chore. I'm glad you had more success than I did though. Right now my C has reversed cover plates. Lol. But at least it works.

I believe you can, I'm not sure on how you can do it. I'm not going to change the Reed on a 11 dollar harmonica though, maybe my honor harps.
