Tried this one for the first time today, did 2 of them worked a treat. The videos on making and attaching the booby eyes were especially helpful.

Sir you do realise that boobys should, under no circumstances be used in catch and release fishing. The adult trout has a tendency to swallow whole a booby. The reason for this is the only way trout can eat such a nutritious snack is to devour the food whole. Ergo 9 out of ten times the fish will swallow a booby. I'm sure you are aware of the problematic nature of retrieving your lure without damaging the fish. I'm also sure you understand the responsibility you have to your audience in encouraging this small but important detail in your future video episodes. Thanks you for your time and patience. And all the best in 2020

Hi Pal, I would agree if the fly is fished incorrectly as it is often done on small still waters. What I mean by this is it is cast out on a sinking line and left until a fish takes the fly. On these occasions I would agree 100% that the fly is taken deep by the fish and would be unable to be released. I do not fish boobies in this manner ever. I always make sure I am in contact with the fly at all times and over the many years I have fished with this kind of fly I can count on one hand how many times I have deep hooked a fish.
