This was particularly entertaining for me to watch because I took Zach's course to teach me technique, but I also bought both of your books to teach me how to sight-read. 😂 Your materials together are working wonders for me! 🤩
@@richard135b7 not entirely sure yet. The beginner part boils down to 4 exercises practiced on a different key each week for 13 weeks. Then there's the advanced sections I haven't reached yet, but I see it covers more complex scales, arpeggios, chords, octaves, and some fancy term techniques I've never heard of like glissandos, trills, tremolos, etc. There's a lot of material. The thing I like is it's well structured, so you know what you have to practice when. You shouldn't pay more than $500 though, sign up to his free stuff first and he should send you a discounted link at the end. Otherwise, the website quotes upwards of $1k, which seems hefty. 🤷🏻♀️
I discovered your channel yesterday and I think I've already made it through ten or more of your videos ! It's incredible how I learn more from your reaction than on some of the videos I watched (I started piano recently) ! Your explanations are clear enough even for me, for who (whom ?) english is not my first language at all ! Great work ! Ok I just saw you did a react to Peter Buka's playing so I edited it^^
Nice to see you almost reaching 100k subs! It's been so long since I looked at one of your videos, i think it was when you had something like 10k? Keep up the great work!!!
I honestly don't think the reactions are staged. There are people out there that would overreact to anything. No need to hire actors for that. You just need to do it over over again until you have enough clips to select the funniest reactions or the most attractive girls... No need to see fraud everywhere. Human nature is enough.
@nodangles6983 You are absolutely right. Honestly, I would probably react to his playing exactly the way they react in his videos. I just wanted to say that these reactions could well be the normal reactions of many people so no need to think that they were staged
Human nature is much more boring and all these prank videos are young pretty people overacting to him overplaying the tunes. Very repetitive and it would take forever to randomly collect those, so thats all staged for sure. The guy is probably a much better pianist than this very superficial content shows. Sadly he is all in for the clicks.
Let's not pretend Zack is a piano hack and all about party tricks. He's an accomplished high-level piano player but so is Mathew. They have different styles. Zach is a hard key-pounding in your face performer and Matthew is a more subtle refined piano master.
i know its not entertaining in the slightest. his comments are full of people who believe its a genuine interaction lol i dont understand how people are so gullible. he can obviously play to some extent, but if he would just film real footage it would be easier and better, it makes no sense to me
I agree, it's like using the force for evil and extremely narcissistic. It's quite the contrast to sharing knowledge willingly and creating a community ;)
Please, please, please do a video on Stephen Ridleys piano masterclass. Ive spent the last week trawling through his videos, shorts, vlogs and online interviews. Absolute scammer. Infuriating. I just subbed btw, beautiful playing❤
Can we start talking about what's actually going on psychologically/culturally with these kind of clips and their marketing? Let's start by retitling them to something less hooky but more accurate: "Here's a video of people that do things they love, enjoy, or are otherwise good at, and will likely be fun to watch simply because of that, but you dismiss what they might be like or able to do based on looks, stereotypes, and prejudice but you can hide behind the legitimately good and/or fun music, art, or whatever in this video "
yeah im pretty sure this guy just gets actor's to do these reaction's for him sadly. there fun video's though either way. you should check out the video game songs to zanarkand from final fantasy x and dearly beloved from kingdom hearts there both super amzing you would enjoy them im sure
Maybe these type of content is not for me that I find cringe sometimes, these skits happens in every niche eg body building cooking and now music too Edit: i forgot gaming too
Zach can definitely play, but his touch is to heavy for my liking, nothing like yours Matthew. But he teaches and does courses online, and iv bought a few and he is good at teaching. One course that really helped me was his technique course. If you struggle with technique fundamentals the actual movements of the hands, arms etc check it out. There cheap also can do monthly and cancel anytime.
He's an awesome piano player but I never thought they might be fake encounters until now. Another clue might be fake all the "actors" are attractive slender young women. No fatties or ugly people : )
Not a fan of his videos they are so fake obviously actors notice everyone is a young lady . Just clickbait rubbish to be honest . This is no reflection on his playing i'm just commenting on the poor videos .
I binged all of Zach's content after finding the first video. The reaction factor is captivating.
Even though they're all actors?

I got goosebumps listening to you play Hallelujah 🥺 Just beautiful. I have to learn this now, thank you 🎉
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it 😊
Hey Matthew! I think a lot of us are waiting for your hardest pieces list. U could even make some tier lists, lol.
I was kinda expecting him to mash together Crazy in Love and the Cantina theme from Star Wars
Just curious how long does it take to learn to play piano like that?
Matthew can you react to "Tada Koe hitotsu" covered by Banken🙏🙏
You should offer a pdf of your versions of the songs you see played by the other pianists on your vids.
i love your videos!
Thanks!! 😊

Overreacting? People are reacting to his playing. Nobody's gonna try to react the way you would. They probably don't even know you. 😆

@richard135b7 I wasn't suggesting that, apologies if it came across like that. We save the hack vitriol for Stephen Ridley 😀
@@bexualhealing I don't have a good feeling about Steven Ridley. I would not consider buying his piano course

How people fall for his ‘staged’ reaction videos is beyond belief , world is full of naive and gullible folk 😂
You play so beautifully! I wish you had a channel only for your performances! And btw… I wanna learn this arrangement of Hallelujah!!!!! :)
Thanks Rodrigo, I might stick some up on my second channel…we shall see 😊

@matticawood Staging pranks does not compute. Kind of defeats the purpose. Zach's videos appear to be genuine pranks/reactions.
