    Just wanted to say thanks for making these videos. As a "newish" Dad to a 5 month girl, the videos are incredibly helpful. Found your channel when I was looking for reviews on the Lollipop camera. This Britax video helped too as was looking for which britax car seat to get. Couldn't desire between the different models. Pretty sure based on this and another review, we've decided on the new boulevard cool n dry model. Have you heard anything about the new models? You're little guy is incredibly adorable.

    I upgraded to the Britax Boulevard from Britax b safe 35 infant car seat when my son was almost 1 and he is now almost 2. He’s 25 lbs, very tall (size of his 3 yr old cousin) and he fits great in his seat. He always seems very comfortable even on a 6 hr long road trip he was fine and slept for hrs without his head falling forward. The clicktight seatbelt feature always impresses people and makes it super easy to install the seat (coming from a young first time mom that hates installing car seats). The only negative thing I can say about the seat is that it is quite big when rear facing, if you have a compact car you will have to scoot your driver or front passenger seat up a lot but if you have a larger car or even when the seat is forward facing in a compact car then the space is not an issue. The seat is also quite heavy which is a good thing because of all the steel and impact protection which means it is really safe but just keep that in mind. Me and my family love this car seat because it is extremely safe and very high quality well worth it’s price. I would definitely recommend it.

    Has Britax brought out their car sear with the nano tech fabric yet? Do you have a review on it? Also. Do you need to buy an extra accessory to make either one of these two car seats appropiate for infants? Or do they already come with what you need?

    I have the Britax Advocate. I’ve been machine washing the fabric for a year now and it’s held up (probably washed 3/4 times.) I wasn’t aware you weren’t supposed to machine wash 😬 I put it on a gentle cycle and air dry 🤷‍♀️

    I was just about to give up on removing this thing from a car. When suddenly I watched you video and realized there was a seat switch that has to be twisted to release. Thank you for I just spent 45 minutes fighting with this.

    • @dadverb

      Another tip for removing the seat is to unbuckle the belt first before twisting the Clicktight knob. Makes it easier to open up.

    Its the same in Canada, a lot of american products aren't sold, advertised or available to ship into Canada. As our laws and regulations are quite regulated. Especially to do with car safety, and sleeping arrangements.

    • @dadverb
      @dadverb  6 лет назад

      Both really great systems. I'd say Chicco is probably more versatile and able to adapt to more strollers outside of it's own brand like Uppababy. That being said, I'm still partial to Britax overall including the B-Safe infant seat and the B-Free/B-Agile strollers.

  • @Luvisbeautiful2

    Question, I'm not sure to get either the Britax or the Nuna Rava. The Britax was also recalled so I'm confused as to whether this issue was resolved. Which car seat would you choose? BTW my son is 10 months, 32 inches long, and is 24lbs (he definitely got his height from dad lol)

    Hi Andrew, does Britax make and sell separate base for the Boulevard? We have two cars and we don’t want to buy two seats. We’re hoping they would sell bases.

    • @SF-pe3qf
      @SF-pe3qf 4 года назад

      LuxiChic this is a convertible car seat which means it stays installed in the car at all times. You don’t click it in/out of a base like an infant car seat. For families with multiple cars, you really need a convertible car seat for each car. You can get two of the same, or if baby is in one car less frequently then you can go with one “nice” seat and one less expensive one to save money. All car seats are safe and they all pass the same tests - the difference is that cheaper seats don’t have as many comfort/ease of use features, but as long as you read the manual and commit to using it correctly then kiddo will be very safe in both vehicles!

    Are they good for newborns straight out of the hospital heading home? Or is it preferable to get an infant car seat?

    • @dadverb
      @dadverb  4 года назад

      It's preferable to get an infant car seat as it's easier to transfer from stroller to car.

  • @Mommyingthis
    @Mommyingthis 6 лет назад

    If you want the seat more reclined in rear facing did you find it difficult to keep it where you wanted after pressing down on the seat? I’ve heard it’s harder to keep it reclined for younger babies

    • @dadverb
      @dadverb  6 лет назад

      I didn't find it too difficult. The bigger issue I had was the more reclined it is in smaller cars (I drive a Honda Civic) the tighter it fits in the back seat. I kinda had to make the front seats go forward a little.

    Hi,
    Great video!
    Do you know about any other good alternative infants car seats that are compatible with Upperbaby Vista? I wonder, because you mentioned that child can get a bit sweaty in Mesa

    • @dadverb
      @dadverb  6 лет назад

      The Vista actually has adapters for purchase that can make a wide array of infant seats comparable. Most notably Maxi-Cosi, Chicco Keyfit and Nuna Pipa. Did you have a car seat in particular that you were leaning toward?

    • @SF-pe3qf

      Hand washing is no big deal. I’ve had to do it to my Britax seats a million times... just use the bathtub, follow the water temp/detergent directions and then roll the cover in a towel to get out the excess water. It’s dry in a few hours after that and ready to use. Yay cool flow!

      @dadverb  6 лет назад +3

      That'll be a travel system video that I've got coming up. My favorites for that are going to be the Uppababy Mesa seat + Vista stroller, the Britax B-Safe seat + B-Free stroller or the Chicco Keyfit 30 system.

    • @carolines3953
      @carolines3953 6 лет назад

      We used the Advocate from birth. It comes with an infant insert so can be used from 5lbs. We’re due October and we’re getting an infant bucket seat this time. We learned the hard way that it’s not fun waking a sleeping baby when you arrive at your destination (or sitting in a car waiting for baby to wake up.)
