I own both of these for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. They both are very good protection. I find the Unicorn Beetle to be better for one big reason imo: When you drop the defender enough the clips on the inside hard plastic shell will break and once they do, the case is creaky AF. The beetle feels like an absolute suit of Armor, solid and stiff, even after many drops. My Otterbox creaks and makes noise as i grip and squeeze the phone🤔 Not a good feel on such an expensive and sleek device.
SupCase unicorn beetle cases are 1. Meant to be hard to take off so nothing gets in. 2. Not much bulk. Not sure what you're talking about 3. Light weight 4. Added build in screen protector is good for what it is. I think it's like a +1 life. I used mine until I dropped it and it scratched. Then I popped it out and just continued with my regular glass one. It saved my other screen protector. 5. Proven to work and do work better than most cases. 6. Cheaper than most cases 7. Good quality. I dont know how the new otterboxes are but the old ones were basically the same if not worse then SCUB just extra expensive. They are a waste of money when there is cheaper options that provide the same, if not more protection. Nothing lasts forever. All cases break over time. With that extra money you save from the UB you can buy an extra case no problem. Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's worse quality. If someone wants to prove whys better with massive drop tests go for it. I've dropped my phone in a UB off of my apartments balcony(live on the second floor) right into the cement patio below. Not a scratch on my phone and relatively no damage to the case. If you like to spend extra money and have extra money then go with otterbox to follow a stupid trend. SupCase out here supporting middle class people with their affordable top of th line cases.
Bro I just finished watching your video that's not how you put the Sup Case on you put the Screen Protector on first then you put the back on no wonder the screen Protector isn't flat on the screen you gotta read the instructions bro 😂
Plus, there are many reviewers who demonstrate that over time, the Otterbox silicone stretches & no longer fits properly around the fingerprint sensor & the flaps on ports...so when he talks about it lasting longer than the Supcase, that it total BS.
...I'm about to get a sup case ,,can yous please me know if this case is a go..and does the screen protector interferes with the touchscreen, and if there's any muffling of the voice, and or the music ..thanks
I just installed a Unicorn Beetle Pro on my new Note 9. There is no play in the screen protector. You should place the phone in the front piece, first, then put the back on it. The UBP doesn't feel bulky to me.
I have the Note 9 Otterbox Defender, and although the review wasn't exactly apples to apples, it was a pretty good scenario of the type of experience you're going to have with each case, having had a Unicorn Beetle Pro on a previous phone, you wind up cutting the flaps off and ripping off the screen protector because they become an annoyance. Completely in agreement about the Otterbox holster. Every time I've broken one, it's been me snagging it on something without the phone in the holster. I usually buy an extra just for that reason. If you're completely clumsy dropping your phone several times a day like my wife, don't care about wireless charging or the flaps, and have to have some sort of screen protector the UB Pro is a go. I actually rely on that holster on the Obox, whether it's clipping it to my mail satchel, my belt, or a special deal I have on the dash of my mail truck (I use it this way face out, can see clock, music player, notifications and calls) depending upon what type of job I'm performing. I use a Bluetooth earbud or speaker a lot at work so I don't have to go hands on with the phone itself. Both cases will completely take an average drop or worse. I guess you can say the Otter is a bit more detailed or refined.
Otterboxes are overpriced tat, like BMWs. The beetle cases are superb for a third the price. The fact that YOU fail to assemble a 2 piece case says way more about you than the case.
I bought a unicorn beetle case for my wife’s google pixel 2. It’s been a year and still feels perfect. Nice and snug fit. Just got one for my iPhone SE which I bought last month. (My last favorite iPhone design) and just ordered one. Hopefully lasts just as long
If you read and followed the instructions to open and close the Unicorn Beetle Pro, it would be much easier. And it's much better than the OtterBox. But get the model without the screen protector and use some Cellhelmet with $300 coverage and you're good to go. And those port covers are sturdy AF!
I recently bought the Otterbox defender case for my Note 9 and wasn't impressed I think I just wasted $ 53.The Unicorn Beetle definitely a better case even though it's 2.5 times less than Otterbox Defender
I got an Otterbox Defender on the way for my Samsung A51 (got it for US$ 17.37 with shipping), but I also saved a Supcase UB Pro to my cart just in case. I've no experience so far with either brand, but I noticed that the Supcase outer case has more textured areas for better grip, compared to the smooth exterior of the Otterbox.
I hope in the two years since you've posted this that you've learned how to properly install the unicorn beetle case ... the instructions are they to help 🤦♂️
OtterBox defender is garbage it stretches out after time. The unicorn beetle pro is far superior. They last a whole lot longer. Secondly learn to actually put on a case. You put in the front piece first. I have no such problem like you do with my note 9 unicorn beetle pro case.
You're right about the otterbox...that stretching out only has one advantage...easier to get the phone out for your vr.... this unicorn doesnt feel bulky at all for my note 9.... and bought 3 of them for about 13 euro each....thats close to 15 bucks....if one of my screenprotectors scratches up...ill just put a new one on it....the otterbox was about 50 euro when i bought it for my s7 edge.....
Unicorn beetle pro... If you had put it on correctly its absolutely fantastic... I've had it on my Samsung s9 for 2 years it's fantastic screen protector is superb...... Dropped it a few times nothing extreme just everyday drops... Phones been totally protected... THE BEST CASE EVER

Good up close comparison and illustration. Thanks. Some updated phone cases dont have the screen protector because the newer Galaxy phones come with a pre installed screen protector, as stated. Also that screen protector, on the case, can be removed so you can install a better one directly onto the phone.
@@Vintiqueture Yeah, you have to assemble it correctly. The U.Beetle is a really good case, just slightly slimmer, smoother feeling to the touch and very good protection but if you really look close you can see just a hairline gap on the U.Beetle around the button covers which is probably the reason the buttons respond a lot better better. Every button cover is airtight on the O.Box except the ports that are left open deliberately. Personally, I prefer to have the button covers completely sealed to keep more dirt out and some water if something happens.
I have Unicorn Beetle Pro on my Note 9. It's less bulkier than an otterbox, I can easily get my phone in and out my pocket easier with the beetle pro than the otterbox. I took my screen protector off cause it wasn't needed really, the raisivity is good enough to keep the screen off the surface. And the hipster does double as a kickstand, you have to know how to set it up. This beetle pro offers as much protection as the otterbox but at a lower price. I have dropped my phone with this case, no cracks in my glass nor damage to my phone. All heavy duty cases are built to protect against drops but upto a certain number. Doesn't matter what company you use, if you drop enough times, damages will happen. I think you're just giving otterbox more props.
You NEED to label this video for iPhone 9+ and read the installation instructions for the Supcase UB Pro or any other instructions on cases you truly aren’t familiar with . The UB Pro rated higher than the Otterbox Defender for 50 foot drops and more. BTW the UB Pro is meant to provide 360 protection = protect from dirt, etc so has a built in screen protector vs having one. as the Otterbox. And one can find an Otterbox Defender for under $25-30.00 for older iPhones like the 9., tho Otterbox keeps their price BCUZ they know many will pay for their name regardless of the true quality of their products. *watch the video of an $8.00 case vs a $1000.00 case and see how $$$ doesn’t equal quality!!

Your review isn't that accurate, I've owned 3 OtterBox cases over the last 4 years. The outer silicone case always stretch on the bottom & the inner hard plastic can be very difficult to open. On at least two occasions a plastic tab or 2 even broke. Not mention the silicone plug on bottom to protect the charger & headphone jack will eventually break off with time. The unicorn beetle pro is unmatched. I cant believe I paid 19$ for something s awesome. The YT may be right about the kickstand and it is a little difficult to pop out. Also the stylus takes a second to get out because I have larger fingers. However the screen is snug as a bug, not sure what's wrong with the videos. I think maybe he put on the screen top incorrectly? I dont know. I've had loose screen protectors before and this ain't one. I 100% recommend this over the defender. I was sceptical and have always bought otter but give this one a confident buy!
Good video yo, in my experience the otterbox is better for the fact that is not as stiff/sturdy as the unicorn I dropped my note 8 sitting in my bathroom and the back shattered that's the reason why i don't use those cases anymore
My unicorn beetle does not do that. It stays flush to the screen! Had it for 2 years and never had a problem except for screen fading over age but remind you it been 2 years. You got a defective one.
I usually buy higher end phones used a year or two. By then the phones and cases are much less. I have an s8 and I paid under 20 dollars for a new otter box defender case. It's getting crazy how expensive the top tier phones are. Iphones are out of reach for me.
