    Matt is amazing to watch and I'm always stoked to see him playing with some ball he found and then airing 9 feet out of a 3 foot not-quarter. buuuuuut i come here to see you skate. your skating is its own brand of wonderful and yes, your teammates and friends are all sick and the audience loves to see them, but at the end of the day we've been fkin with you for so long because we like what you bring to the table.

    The way Matt and Andy skate are super different, but both of them do these like only in Tony Hawk tricks. It's always incredible to see. I love seeing Matt just cause how awesome would it be to that comfortably and consistently blast airs off nothing ramps and transitions? He airs, spins, and grabs like snowboarders do. It's insane. Like the reason you snowboard (if you do) is cause you can't pull that shit on a skateboard.

    I told my friend the other day that I think there is usually two types of succesful skateboarders: the animals and the scientists. Scientists is like Mitchie Brusco, Andy Anderson and Dan. And animals are like Matthew, Jimmy Wilkins, and Tyshawn Jones. Both types are like a spectrum but it always amazes me how each type can be so extreme from the other sometimes but they both reach extreme high levels of skills but through completely different processes.

    quick question and i wont be offended if you dont answer: older skater getting back into skating. complete ccs deck with red bearings. do pro-grade wheels really make a huge difference to coast/speed? learning to push non-mongo finally and while its getting better... i still cant get that speed and finesse i want when pushing.

    • @gitnotgud
      @gitnotgud Месяц назад

      hard wheels -> spitfire f4 / bones stf
      "soft" wheels -> dragons (or the spitifre/bones 97duro i never tried this 2)
      just try some boards at your local skatepark. you will not get good from good wheels but it feels smoother/faster
      +cheap wheels are not that bad but they get bad pretty quick.. if you're just pushing through the streets cheaper soft wheels should to the job pretty good (maybe even softer than the 93duro i mentioned, really depends on the ground) for flat tricks, grinds, ramps, powerslides the dragon wheels are the softest i could recommend
      learn to push until you are satisfied and if you are going to continue you will have to buy new wheels anyways, just give it some time
