Happy Feast Day of Saints' Loui Martin and Celi on 12 July 2024 - Amen. 🎉 🎉 Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit : Matthew 19 : 6 Amen.
Their story is an inspirational one that speaks to all of us about how to live out our vocation to love. Even if our ideas don't align with God, He still has something special in store for us. And I enjoy the way she tells their story in this video in such an engaging style.
Amazing! Great video, beautiful true to life modern Latin rite Church history. Saw you the other day---just a clip of the gist of the story. Had no idea you were talking about the St Martin's Family! I missed everything except for the passing on the bridge and the wedding. Thought this was a very recent happening. Thought it was a secular report and thought, Oh, how lovely! Today I hear the entirety and just love it--believing our Lord in his goodness wanted me to be aware of this couple. I knew of them, but not the details you shared. Very special. Thankk you! May God protect your holy joy!
She is a treasure. A good way to get to know her is by reading her book, Story of a Soul. "I am your sister and your friend. Never will I cease watching over you." ~Therese
Because in Catholicism marriage is between you and God. In Protestant theology it’s between you, God and your community, so a private ceremony like this would be strange. And in Judaism it’s all about the community, so a secret ceremony like this would be out of the question, because you need the blessing of God and as much blessing as you can get from the community.
Me half the time: mhm, yes. Good information. This helps me much in this time of struggle in my discernment journey.
Me the other half: B A B Y

I think all of their other daughters are on the path to be recognized saints… or so I’ve heard
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Why did they have to have a secret marriage ceremony?

Erm…maybe do some research on the correct French pronunciations of “Louis”, “Zelie”, “Martin” first? That aside, solid video
