We lost Mac on 02/24/2019 but, If Mac were still here, he'd probably tell us he had known (or known of) April for as many as 30 years before they recorded this together 5 years ago. Just a hunch on my part, but it would not surprise me if Mac first met April when she was a very young girl fiddling & stepdancing up a storm in Canada's Ottawa Valley! [Mac always had a great affinity for Canada and Canadians, touring up north regularly as he did for about 50 years, and he was always "in the know" about the music scene up here.]
