I love the fact that I heard this song, loved the band, without even knowing the origins of Austin Dickinson. Mad respect. He's a great vocalist. Incredible tune!
Saw these guys a few years back with FFDP and Shinedown. Had never heard of them before hand and a big fan afterwards. Wish they would come out with some more stuff. Are you guys listening As Lions? Come back!
Shadows pouring like rain Beneath the decay Alone we wait for the end to come We look for the signs A glimmer of light A crack in the sky What have we created? What have we become? Meaningless and jaded, The forsaken ones Following the footsteps Deep into the black We echo in the darkness Knowing there's no turning back Tell me, how long do we wait, Until we see the other side? At the end of everything, Nothing left but you and I, Waiting for the storm to pass Caught up in the aftermath With you by my side, We walk into the fire We reap what we sow The end of the rope Tightens its hold around our throats We're closer to death We're counting each breath Like it was our last What have we created? What have we become? Meaningless and jaded, The forsaken ones Following the footsteps Deep into the black We echo in the darkness Knowing there's no turning back Tell me, how long do we wait, Until we see the other side? At the end of everything, Nothing left but you and I, Waiting for the storm to pass Caught up in the aftermath With you by my side, We walk into the fire We're burning all the same across this divide So will we see the rain? Or let the flames decide? What have we created? What have we become? Meaningless and jaded? Are we too far gone? Tell me, how long do we wait, Until we see the other side? At the end of everything, Nothing left but you and I, Waiting for the storm to pass Caught up in the aftermath With you by my side, We walk into the fire
Rise to remain was a great band love their debut and final album and i'm glad hes still around in the music intresting havent check this band yet but sounds good
I saw these guys live in Denver back in October. They were opening band for Sixx: A.M., Shinedown, and FFDP. I was impressed honestly. Austin Dickenson is just like his father Bruce
I saw these guys yesterday in Stuttgart, they opened for Alter Bridge. As a musician myself, I know it´s shitty to be opening act because everyone is waiting for the main band, but these guys really left their nuts on the stage yesterday and made great atmosphere. Much love and respect
Just these guys last night with Nothing More in Destin, FL. Never heard of them before but I absolutely enjoyed their music, even though the PA system there is AIDS. Glad I went to that show so I could look these lads up and enjoy them properly.
Just turned my niece on to them. She likes them - the music is exactly the kind she loves. Ill tell her later I saw the lead singer's father in concert back in 1984 :-)
I got a chance to see them on their very FIRST American show in Cincinnati with Sixx:A.M., Shinedown, and Death Punch. I had never heard of them before and I was very very impressed with them. They're GREAT live. I got a chance to meet and greet Austin and their drummer and eventually Sixx:A.M. Guitarist D.J. Ashba. This was all on the floor. I had no pass or anything they came up to my brother and I but anyhow... they're great. Screw all you haters. You're just mad because your garage band couldn't make it off the bar scene.
I got there late (Tampa, FL show) and only saw a couple of songs. I was impressed. Austin (the singer, right) sang two slower songs with Five Finger Death Punch because 5FDP's singer was away dealing with some issues (All That Remains singer did the other songs).
i first saw these guys opening for shinedown, sixx am and five finger death punch last year. It was my first concert and i actually caught the drumstick these guys threw into the crowd.
The voice as well as the drumming and the riffs are so perfectly balanced that none of them is overpowering and are in fact prefectly audible and not harsh or shrill
I've never heard of this band before. Then I noticed they keep popping up in music magazines I bought so I thought I'd give them a listen. Definitely not too bad at all. I like the content of the song
Just revisted these guys. Their music is still great and a unique position in rock. I caught this group when I was in middle school as I was discovering heavy metal (still my favourite genre), but their sound, among others, showed me other sounds that exist in music and still remind me to keep an open mind to genres you're not used to -- specifically "Bury My Dead" and "Aftermath". Whether they continue to make music their Selfish Age album will always be one I come back to.
i got to see these guys live at their first American performance at the Worchestaah Centrum in Massachusetts, great performance, it will be a treat to watch their career grow.
Enjoyed them so much at GMM17 in Belgium! Thanks for the standing just in front of me on the fence, holding my hand, the selfie after the show and the spectrum, it means a lot to me! You also said that the band was shooting a new music video and I was front row so I hope I'll see it soon, keep on going this way boys, lots of fan love!❤🤘
yo wtf, i had no idea this Austin dude ever did anything after Rise to Remain, this is definitely not bad at all, still has those nice catchy melodies that made RtR stand out. i wonder how much he has to do with the music writing... i remember catching them live on warped tour? they played a great set but there wasn't too many people there, their loss, it was a privilege
When was this? I heard Austin didn't want to do that with As Lions as kind of "disaster" I think he said. Apples to oranges I think he was referring to.
NEW AS LIONS WHEN!? FILL THE VOID THAT SHVPES WILL LEAVE US WITH ❤️😎 RIP SHVPES. Much love to both Dickinson brothers. Would love to see a collab tbh lmao 😁😁😁😁
I saw them live at Rock on the Range. Crowd seemed to like them. Thought they sounded OK live. I think one thing that would help for a live performance is if there was more harmonizing around the bridge/chorus. For Aftermath in particular, it was just Austin carrying the vocals throughout the whole song. No background help from the rest of the band. I like Austin's candor in between songs and thought he was funny. I was hoping to see them interact with the crowd more during the performance. For the Aftermath finale, I would've liked to have seen him come down from the stage and sing next to the crowd, in between the barriers where the security was located. I've seen that with other up and coming bands, and it really gets the crowd excited. I think they have potential. I like the EP. They are still building their portfolio and I look forward to seeing them again.
Man this video is sooo fucking kool !! We want videos for " The fall " and "White flags" as well. I believe this band has got something special. Respect and love for As Lions :)
Y'all better bring the heat opening for nothing more or you're gonna look silly. Looking forward to it though. Excellent sound. Hope you bring some good energy.
I love the fact that I heard this song, loved the band, without even knowing the origins of Austin Dickinson. Mad respect. He's a great vocalist. Incredible tune!
Yeah me either. I was pretty stokd to know who his dad is
I saw Rise to Remain live in 2011 and only found that out last year
Check out his brother griffin! His band is called shvpes
Wow, first thought there was like three vocalists in this band. What a voice!
Skorp Saiyan yes, you can expect the bruce dickinson's son
The singer, Austin Dickinson is son of Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.
The drummer is singing

Austin, I wish you all the best in your life! You are the best son who any father wish to have!
Talent runs in the family to be sure. I can't wait to see what these guys accomplish in their career. They sound simply amazing.

These guys opened for Five Finger Death Punch and were great! The lead singer even sang one song for FFDP and he did a good job.
I've never heard of this band before. Then I noticed they keep popping up in music magazines I bought so I thought I'd give them a listen. Definitely not too bad at all. I like the content of the song

Waiting for the As Lions opening for Iron Maiden show guys, c'mon, make it happen!
pass maiden is to talented to have these guys open for them
Nah Bruce isn't keen on nepotism. It's only the fans who keep comparing the kids to Bruce that show any kind of nepotism (mostly the negative kind)
They did tour together in the past when they were Rise To Remain
When was this? I heard Austin didn't want to do that with As Lions as kind of "disaster" I think he said. Apples to oranges I think he was referring to.
@@cookmoore3736 i mean, I've seen much more different bands play in one show
