Nah Bruce isn't keen on nepotism. It's only the fans who keep comparing the kids to Bruce that show any kind of nepotism (mostly the negative kind)
They did tour together in the past when they were Rise To Remain
When was this? I heard Austin didn't want to do that with As Lions as kind of "disaster" I think he said. Apples to oranges I think he was referring to.

I got a chance to see them on their very FIRST American show in Cincinnati with Sixx:A.M., Shinedown, and Death Punch. I had never heard of them before and I was very very impressed with them. They're GREAT live. I got a chance to meet and greet Austin and their drummer and eventually Sixx:A.M. Guitarist D.J. Ashba. This was all on the floor. I had no pass or anything they came up to my brother and I but anyhow... they're great. Screw all you haters. You're just mad because your garage band couldn't make it off the bar scene.
I met DJ too and Austin!!! They're all bad asses. I was at the same show. When they went off I looked at my brother and said "DAYUM"

I got there late (Tampa, FL show) and only saw a couple of songs. I was impressed. Austin (the singer, right) sang two slower songs with Five Finger Death Punch because 5FDP's singer was away dealing with some issues (All That Remains singer did the other songs).

I saw these guys live in Denver back in October. They were opening band for Sixx: A.M., Shinedown, and FFDP. I was impressed honestly. Austin Dickenson is just like his father Bruce

Anyways, I just got their Selfish Age album, and the entire CD fucking kicks ass! The Fall is especially my favorite off that album. They need to release The Fall as their next single.

I saw these guys yesterday in Stuttgart,they opened for Alter Bridge. As a musician myself, I know it´s shitty to be opening act because everyone is waiting for the main band, but these guys really left their nuts on the stage yesterday and made great atmosphere. Much love and respect
I've never heard of this band before. Then I noticed they keep popping up in music magazines I bought so I thought I'd give them a listen. Definitely not too bad at all. I like the content of the song
i first saw these guys opening for shinedown, sixx am and five finger death punch last year. It was my first concert and i actually caught the drumstick these guys threw into the crowd.

I respect Austin, Will and Conor, the sound is nice, but after waiting 2 years for the release of Rise2, the end of the band, i thought something from rise2 would be put in their debut album, sooo i expected more from As Lions. sorry, my english suck.
I saw them live at Rock on the Range. Crowd seemed to like them.
Thought they sounded OK live. I think one thing that would help for a live performance is if there was more harmonizing around the bridge/chorus. For Aftermath in particular, it was just Austin carrying the vocals throughout the whole song. No background help from the rest of the band.
I like Austin's candor in between songs and thought he was funny. I was hoping to see them interact with the crowd more during the performance. For the Aftermath finale, I would've liked to have seen him come down from the stage and sing next to the crowd, in between the barriers where the security was located. I've seen that with other up and coming bands, and it really gets the crowd excited.
I think they have potential. I like the EP. They are still building their portfolio and I look forward to seeing them again.
I miss Rise to Remain. I hope this band gets better with time, it's ok but definitely not as good as RtR.
Rise to remain was sooooo much better. Regardless of the genre or what, the riffs was way more badass the clean singing was more epic and used to be stuck in your head . This new band is like, we took out everything cool from RTR and made an alternative rock band. I'm fcking dissapointed.
I want to like you guys, I really do, but this is just boring. Overprocessed pop songs with distorted guitars to make it seem "heavy". And the ugliest drum samples I've ever heard.
I blasted this on the way home from two grass fires my dept worked today. Felt very appropriate.

Just these guys last night with Nothing More in Destin, FL. Never heard of them before but I absolutely enjoyed their music, even though the PA system there is AIDS. Glad I went to that show so I could look these lads up and enjoy them properly.

@@Assimilator702 Me either its what Passes for Modern Metal and being Dickinson's son doesn't make a bit of difference to me . Lyrically I can hear a bit of Maiden flow. Need to drop the synths I hear in the background and get the Guitars a bunch more Crunchy distortion . Theirs nothing new or outstanding here . He would be better of covering Iron Maiden songs .
