    Hi Mat, I quit last July when I decided I didn't want any more aches and pains at 70. But I missed it and am back with foam ones and a pair of rattan. Starting slowly and happy to be back at it.

    great Matt. Am from chennai the capital city of tamilnadu. pls do let me know when you would come over here. Happy to receive you. I practice Isshinryu karate and have a purple belt. So elated to hear you say that martial arts orignated from India. True Many people around the world do not know that. Nandivarman also known as Bodhi Dharma /Damo travelled to China from TamilNadu to spread the fighting skills now today known as Shaolin Kungfu. In tamil nadu we have a type of traditional martial art called "Adimurai" flowing from the Varma kalari.

    I just found your channel, I LOVE the content!
    I'm starting on the Jo Staff, always wanted to learn Jo and Bo, and your videos are so incredibly helpful. I've practiced the Lissajous Weapon nunchucku system under Lee Barden for over 20 years and am now helping his students carry on his legacy and tradition. I've studied Kali, kickboxing, and Northern Shaolin through the years, and now at almost 50, can definitely relate to training while older.
    So thank you for sharing all of this! You have some amazing skills and an excellent method of teaching concepts and techniques. Consider me a student, looking forward to practicing along with your videos!

    Im starting out with chucks. Always thought they were wicked cool when used properly. I have a basic set of decent wood chucks that im learning to use fairly well due to your videos. Now my question is i want a larger variety to train with, what sites do you recommend to find true chucks. Or can i trust the ones im finding in the 20-25$ range on the knife sites?

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  11 месяцев назад +1

      The ones on the knife sites are usually pretty good. No reason to spend a lot for chucks!

    why 3 chain not 7 or 5?

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  3 месяца назад

      This is a speed chuck. Better for tricks. Or good for self defense like a longer chain.

      @pasquinilli right okay, I've just had 7, only 1 pair for the last 16 years so not sure what's what. I'm still confused on proper sizing too.

    Great video. Thank you. Made my first chuks in 1972. Just finished making 3 more!
    Chuks are legal in many states. Here in Florida, yes.
    The law against chuks in New York was struck down two years ago. It’s being struck down in Arkansas as well.
    Reason being is because it is against the 2nd amendment. The judges (good ones) stated that we have the right to bear arms which includes nunchucks.

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  3 года назад

      Awesome! Making your own is best. I didn’t know that about the laws and the 2A connection. Makes sense!!

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  Год назад

      Yes! You have to use it with focus and control. Takes time. Lots of bumps and lumps along the way.

    😆 apparently California thinks they are more dangerous than any martial arts weapon , because every other one is legal , even swords. Oh and brass knuckles , but 2 pointed ones are accepted. Hmmm 🤔
