100% agreed. And as A203D said, barret’s response is fantastic too. I really love how they’ve given so much attention to the character interactions in rebirth. My favourite characters in gaming are giving me even more reason to love them!
@@A203Dit also led up to the perfect timing for Sephiroth to intervene. He could tell the real Cloud was emerging, and we couldn’t have that now could we?
I love seeing Barret and Cloud being bros. They didn't like each other in the beginning. Cloud didn't like Barret's up-in-your-face, leader energy, and Barret didn't like Cloud's lip and apathy. But then they started to realize that they have plenty in common, and really warm up to each other. Fantastic storytelling.
I think it shows who Cloud truly he is. He’s mischaracterized as this apathetic, loner kid who is selfish. But at his core, he’s a deeply compassionate individual who cares for everyone around him. He’s just awkward and introverted as hell so it’s hard to show it. “There’s not a thing I don’t cherish.”
6:08 Fuckin' strong words coming from the woman who just dove out of a helicopter flanked by missiles to land on the roof of a speeding big rig being driven by company-declared terrorists.
This is why I love RPG games; characters try to be at their best, but when they're at their lowest, the people around them help and support them. They go from essentially being strangers united by a common goal to practically being family.
"I'm starting to think you might" that line gets me over and over again. Considering these 2 had a knife at each others throat for so long, it amazing to watch unfold.
In my head they don't all die, but they get knocked out and pass out. Cloud and his friends don't enjoy killing unless its in defence of their own lives.
Nah, if they did this in-universe itll be somewhere along the lines of Barret carrying Dyne’s spirit along with him. It’s very similar to how Zack gave Cloud his Buster sword right before death
I see why they did it but I seriously hate that such an emotional scene was ruined by Shinra showing up. That’s what happens whenever Shinra get involved
I like the old version of this scene a lot better, not only for the emotional part but words Dyne said we lot better in context. They forgot Dyne handing Barret Elenore pendant and telling him never make Marlene cry.
Ok my thoughts of Dio went up from 5 to 89 percent. goes from tool to an very kick ass help with offering to take on Rude for the group? yeah only flaw? GET SOME CLOTHES ON XD
"I mean it, man." That's some of the most emotion Cloud has ever shown
It is just so good. That moment afterwards and Barret says 'I'm starting to think you might'.
That is FF at its best. They fucking nailed it.

I feel like until this scene it seemed like Elena was a wimp, and then when I saw this I was like I can see why she’s in the Turks now
That Elena, what a sweet-talker

3:34 "I'll try spinning, that's a good trick"
From a vampire hating on the Joe star bloodline to a side character helping out the good guys...
Talk about a redemption arc..
Is that a Jojo refference?
"I'm starting to think you might" that line gets me over and over again.

"he will receive a proper burial" a little mount in the scrapyard with his gun as cross lmao.
Yeah, the fact that scene end with Dyne still lying in the dirt is kind of ankward!
That's better then most people against I've heard what Shinra does with body's better keep it low profile lol
Little did Cloud not know, he also lost a best friend before he arrives at Midgar.
Rest in peace Gongaga guy. (Unless he’s in another timeline)
I know this is an emotional scene but…. KONO DIO DA!
Seriously tho, barret really was broken in this scene
At least it's not Koyasu
Perfection!!
When rude showed up stylin and toe to toe with Dio. Fire
I'm really glad they expand the Barret and Dyne story in here, and we can really feel the emotion in their story compared to the original one......
Like I said, I love the original but I’ll admit…it does has its flaws..like what you just said.
The og is a trip because dude wanted to basically pull a Chris Benoit
6:10
Elena: "Are you drunk?!"
Tifa: *Seventh Heaven barkeep flashbacks* "I resent that!"
"Hey buddy. You want a hand?"
😂 I made the same comment and choked on my spit
Ah haaaaa haha. You know, that's real funny Cloud, but-THIS IS SERIOUS!!!
Dio: You thought it was the enemy… BUT T’WAS I! DIO!!!
Dio reminds me of Hercule Satan and i like it 😂
Barret 🥺
dont anyone feel bad killing troopers ? specially after cloud had a buddy stil there and juno crew?
In my head they don't all die, but they get knocked out and pass out. Cloud and his friends don't enjoy killing unless its in defence of their own lives.
"Proper Burial" means cheap dirt nap
Odd, considering that everybody returns to the life stream. There *is* no body to bury. Only physical mementos.
If you make it too nice Shira or gangs will loot the body it was better to keep it low key
Am I an asshole for wishing we could've gotten Dyne's weapon for Barret? lolz
Nah, if they did this in-universe itll be somewhere along the lines of Barret carrying Dyne’s spirit along with him.
It’s very similar to how Zack gave Cloud his Buster sword right before death
a Turret Sequence is always a classic
how did rude get in the chooper ?
DIO has changed a lot i see 😂
you thought it was the Turks but it was I, DIO!
Does anyone know what the name of the ost that plays when cloud hands Barrett his gun? Can’t find it anywhere.
Sneaky Cait Sith, sneaking a feel on Tifa and sitting on her lap 😑
Wut
why does he sound so irish/scottish? is it part of his Mythological counterpart?
@@demochris1786 Its a little nod to where the name Cait Sith comes from and because lil guy had that accent since Advent Children / Dirge of Cerberus
HOLY HELL, A TURRET SECTION??!?!?
Nah its a Barret section.
rico suave's uncle, el macho brings in the wheels.
If I was Barrett I would of keeped that other gun arm
How much gil is the Buggy worth?

It's not the only emotional scene they ruined.
Can't wait for the G Truck game coming to arcades. 😂

Honestly dude I think if you were that swole you'd show it off too
Are they fighting or flexing?
Yes
the next episode of your not the father!!!
Diiiiiiiooooo
This sequence sums up why I hate the new games.
All that spectacle immediately detracts from the death of Dyne.
