Ce fut admirable , notamment Voigt qui fut époustouflante . la vidéo ne rend pas compte parfaitement de la splendeur de l'interprétation , musicale ET théâtrale .Sur scène , D. Voigt est totalement crédible et la voix à son zénith ( et il faut regretter qu'elle s’égare dans les Brünhilde qui la dépassent) mais dans Minnie elle m'a donné la meilleure interprétation entendue .

Hello edog1955, Yes, John Adams and Peter Sellars have created this new opera called "GirlS of the Golden West" which is more of a realistic view of the gold rush here in CA. It is different from "Girl of the Golden West" which is more of a classic romantic version of the old west. It is going to be an amazing production, you should try to make it in November 2017.
Well, the worst thing about this video certainly isn't the tenor or the silly looking production but the horrendous and shameful "singing" by the lead soprano. I mean she clearly does not have have a voice for this music. She looks rather like the grandmother of the tenor and whats even worse, sounds like one too. Has anybody told her that she is just plain wrong for this role? And where's the little black dress that she became famous for?
classicaljunky Before you post nasty comments about Debbie Voight , you should check your punctuation and sentence structure. I found several errors. I'd say Debbie Voight sings better than you write!!

Perhaps Puccini's finest effort. Wish I could get out west for this - looks wonderful!
