Honestly, I would sit here and watch a whole 27 minute video of Mysticat walking up the stairs with commentary throughout the climb simply because I can, plus, who knows what someone can talk about for a solid 27 minutes? And the relief of finally reaching the top would be amazing. Interesting fact, shulkers only snap to the block grid if they are not riding another entity. In other words, if you summon an invisible marker armor stand with a shulker riding it, you can make them do other things.
if you consider the Shulkers as stairs, you can make it much more inefficient if you remove the align xyz from the void builder. that would theoretically only leave the floating point to inefficiencies
I thought that the way the void builder works, its shulkers and falling blocks... If thats the case, cant you put them anywhere? they're entites! If your having problems with the shulkers and block grid, they can actually be placed wherever if you just make them ride an armorstand or smth. i made one of the most efficient staircases using shulkers, u can make an even more inefficient one, right? sorry for rambling lol
Okay, you take this staircase, and you put a pressure plate connected to a dropper with a turtle potion (or slowness depending on if you can or not use turtle potions), and this same redstone mechanism every few blocks before the effects disapear, and you get the technically slowest staircase of all time (I think it counts since the redstone would be a part of the staircase, like a redstone door counts as a door even tho it's technically pistons)
Make it more inefficient by making the path randomly go left and right instead of just purely straight. That way you have to needlessly press a and d and/or turn with your mouse.
there is a player height limit as well. Though, the only way u can really tell if u reached it, is if you are in creative mode flying and another creative mode player is flying either below or above you. Once you are at the same height, you will know the game is mad.

Actually, Modifying the Void Builder, you could probably shift the shulkers down to an appropriate Hight for the slowest staircase.
